What's with girls that reject you for no reason?

Was feeling down about my game recently and just have nothing at the moment. I went to two shopping centers and the places were completely BARREN. My area bloody sucks.

But today was a city parade for the upcoming Grand Final (like super bowl i suppose). There were 30yos and kids EVERYWHERE, not a HB in sight.

Then I see a HB7.5 a few metres forward of me trying to stand on tip-toes to see (I couldn't see either). So I walked up beside her and said something like, "I think we'll need a pair of stilts if we're going to see anything."

She laughed genuiniely at that, which was refreshing (she actually had a fun personality and a sense of humour). I got her laughing plenty and she was very comfortable talking to me. And haahha she works in a department store lift going up and down all day!

I negged her about going for two football teams, and told her, "You know, if you were 10 kilos lighter I'd put you up on my shoulders." (There were kids doing this). She laughed at this and I was pretty smooth, I assumed the number was a given seeing as she was enjoying herself.

But then when it's time to go I say, "You seem like a cool girl, give me your number and we might get a coffee sometime." And she said no. Just like that, but didn't look awkward or anything!

I was surprised but kept my cool anyway by saying, "Fair enough" or something. Then she was saying "enjoy the grand final, bye" like nothing happened!!!! It was weird.

I wasn't perfect, but surely that was good enough to at least get a number, she didn't say she had a boyfriend or anything....

I tried to analyse my performance and the only faults I could think of were these:

- minimal kino
- small silences (we're watching a parade, surely that's acceptable)
- she had semi see-through sunglasses, which made eye contact difficult (my strength). I should have negged her for wearing them on an overcast day.
- total time spent a bit over 15 mins, maybe a bit long.

So sh1t! I'm glad I got rejected to learn from it but why would she lead me on with some buying signals and then just reject me as if she's asexual or something? Maybe she's just unadventurous or has a height requirement...who knows?

Oh and on a side note, this old couple actually c0ckblocked me for 30 seconds or so right at the start!!!!! I couldn't believe it, they were strangers too! If you've been following my posts on this board, you'll know that c0ckblockers are attracted to me like a fly on sh1t!

I just saw the thread about UK DJs where the guy said you can't do cold pickups. Maybe that's the case. Nobody at all does cold pickups over here except me.

There could be a million and one reasons why, none of them to do with you. If you are going to see every rejection as a reflection on you, you're going to get fed up with cold approaches pretty quickly.

The truth is, you will never know why she said no, so why worry? She said no, that's all there is to it. Nothing to do with your 'performance'. A 'perfect' cold approach doesn't mean you're guaranteed a number, no matter what DeAngelo and Doc Love might want you to think.

Look at it this way. When you cold approach a woman, she knows pretty much within three seconds, just from looking at you, if she might ever date you. She has decided that subconsciously, before you've even opened your mouth. The whole point of you then opening your mouth, is to create enough of a connection for her to feel comfortable with the idea of seeing you again. If her initial decision was 'no', then your 'performance' is irrelevant, she's still going to say no. If her initial decision was 'maybe', then your approach is all about not f*cking it up.

Yeh I know man what's wrong with Melbourne these days? I scanned my environment for 10 minutes before I found a suitable target! And then I wasted 15 minutes macking her for nothing.

I think if a girl makes up her mind in the first 3 seconds she shouldn't act contrary to that decision.

But this has not fazed me. Next week I will be looking for more cold pickup opportunities.
I hope it's warm though. Whenever the sun comes out there are HBs everywhere. But when it's just a little bit cooler they all go into hiding. Can anyone explain this phenomenon?

1. maybe she had a boyfriend...not all females will say that's the reason until you ask them.
2. maybe it was the wrong time of the month...day..hour..week ect.ect.
3. maybe she had a fight with her family, boyfriend, boss, cousin, friend..ect...ect.
4. maybe she was on her period or it was just getting ready to start or finish or inbetween.
5. maybe she didn't like how you told her to give you her number and maybe you would grace her with coffee one day.
6. maybe maybe maybe...ect..ect..

could be a thousand reason going through her head for not feeling like developing a "relationship" with you. cause that is how they see it. you may just see ok a quick shag..but a woman has to want to put forth the emotional effort to make the connection. When your dealing with womens emotions your in for a rocky, fickle, shaky ride to begin with...in facts it's amazing that we can even connect for sex to produce as rocky as womens emotions are.

Things like this cannot be explained rationally. What was that quote just recently about the writer taking away rationality when writing for a female character?

Anyway I just think the worst part is seeing 4 (repeat 4!) smooching, touching, giggling couples in public areas on the morning of my efforts. And here I am doing remarkably confident things to get results but the AFCs still have all the girls.

Duke007, it was I who posted about cold approaches in the UK. I didn't say they're impossible, I've just found them easier in the US because American women seem to be initially much more receptive to casual conversation with strangers.

I don't know about Australia but I would have thought your approach would work fine in the UK. I think the situation has to be natural for conversation, ie there has to be a conversation piece or starter around sufficient to allow a chat.

The other day I got chatting to two girls at a cash point, (ATM) only after one smiled at me, because one of them was having trouble getting it to work - sufficient grounds for conversation I thought. And in the UK we have some of the coldest, most reserved, stuck up women outside of Saudi Arabia.

As far as I can see you did everything right in your story, the only thing I would question is a neg-hit on a 7.5 - aren't these for 9's only?

As for HBs in colder weather, believe me they're still there, you just can't tell so easily because they have their coats on!

So don't worry about it, keep up the good work.

Yeh but these were really harmless negs, not really about looks or dress sense. The 10 kilos lighter thing was acceptable because she wasn't the least bit overweight.

As for HBs in colder weather, believe me they're still there, you just can't tell so easily because they have their coats on!

Nah man I can tell! I have eyes like a hawk and could probably spot an HB from inside a motorbike helmet!

I have to say, I struggle to find nearly as many HBs in cold weather, it is like i have blinkers on!
