I've been watching a lot of VH1 Behind the Music and reading a lot of biographies of famous people. And it seems to me theres like these lifestory trends that always happens with these people. Like you know - Get famous, get everything you want then suddenly, they get into drugs - get suicidal and then get into theraphy and then everyone claps.

I mean what is up with these people? They're famous, they have everything they want, they have the cars, babes and houses and these are the same people who turns to drugs, become drug addicts and have messed up lives. Maybe they're not in touch with reality. What are you guys take on this?

who knows , maby its theyr dream to become druggies and such , many people want to be rockstars cuz then u get to really party have lots on money buy lots of booze and get laid all the time , thats the rockers dream . and seeing that everyone around you is doing different kinds of drugs , you get somewhat influenced sometimes.
Or maby its just a way to escape reality for them , celebraties live in a world where theyr constantly watched and expected to act like rolemodels all the time 24/7 some poeople cant handle the pressure and brake...

Guess it depends on the individuals, but i agree that they should quit *****ing , they have money with money u can do many things in life ,they all should take a trip to india africa taiwan and such and see how the people are living there helpless afraid without food or even water , while the celebs snort theyr fortune up the nose they could rather do sumthing else with theyr money , like saving childrens lives ,that why i have alot of respect for celebs like bono and angelina jolie , yeah they both have been on the road to drunkies and addicts but theyr changed and they help the people who need it rather then using all theyr money on nice cars and big houses and booze and drugs....

its because being famous or rich doesn't make them better than you or me. I know of rich people who's kids are druggies and totally disrespectful to their parents who gave them a good education and everything they could want.

At the end of the day it all comes down to having a solid moral foundation that comes from having good parents. There is no substitute for love and discipline and many rich people had neither growing up or in adult life. Having fame and too much money can corrupt anyone and the temptations are too many to resist but then again that is a test to find out who the strong are from the weak.

This brings us to the whole question concerning how people feel about themselves.

This celebities feel fake, mainly because their onscreen characters are fake, the lives they live are fake. They have money but there is something else missing, a human need and so they take it out by destroying themselves and such.

This might upset a few people when I say this but I think Britney Spears's old track ' Lucky ' captures a sense of this fake celebity culture perfectly. Heck, a question on my English exam last year was to write an essay about how the obsession with the celebity has gone too far.

Go and think about, seriously.

These are some great responses

True just like everything else. We need moderation of the physical pleasures in life. Sometimes being famous and being like all the time will lead to some really bad overloads and that can be too much to handle. Look at dudes like Kurt Cobain and Jim Morrison, people treat them like gods and treat the day of their death like some sort of sacred holiday.

In reality these people aren't gods, they're human beings.

Be careful what you ask for. It seems like everyone has these lofty goals and once they achieve them they feel empty. People act as if once they become rich, famous, good with women etc that life stops, and that is not the case.
