What's up with pook?

Well, I'm mostly just a DJB-reader as opposed to an active participant in these forums, so I might be a bit off track here, but is it legitamate to ask where the hell is Pook?

The reason I'm asking is that I was searching through the old Pook posts and came across a thread that mentioned he would collect his stuff into an ebook and was taking suggestions. The thread was locked, the administrator said that it would be opened again when he came back. The reason I was searching through his posts was that I was collecting all his stuff to make an ebook myself, simply because I wanted to read it all (again and again).

So is he gone? If he isn't, if you are reading this Pook, then where is your ebook because it would save me the trouble, dammit.

It's not his blog, he said on one of his posts: just a guy whose ideas are almost always spot on with his own. Why he put it as his homepage I dunno, I guess he doesn't mind confusing people...

Still don't understand whats so great about the guy. All he was able to do was write well and make already known information more fun to read. THe information is great, but its not like he was the originator of it all.

It's not entirely about great, it is the reputation that he carries. BECAUSE he was able to create awesome threads and brighten up your day, because everyone can relate to one of his posts and because he is in the bible is why he has the reputation that assumes great knowledge.

As a semi-unrelated analogy, think of religion. It's shoved down the throats of millions of people, and they believe it because it's glorified. Because it is glorified, people believe it more, and follow the same path.

Completely unrelated analogy, but you understand yes?
