yea, i saw the other dudes thread just like this one but he didnt get too specific, im planning on moving too (from TX right now)so i figured id make my own thread, maybe someone can point me in the right direction

I need a place with very low humidity, this is extremely important. I don't like heat, Id rather have fall type weather BUT i can prolly deal with it as long as its not humid.

Im not a big fan of "culture-y" stuff or museums or that type of thing, I like big malls and big modern looking buildings and flashy things. I couldn't survive in a small, old-west type setting... i like big modern cities that everyone knows about and get all kinds of attention. (Not as much as NYC though... I mean, a tree here and there is nice too)

Thats about it really, aside from that a low cost of living is always a plus... cleanliness is always good too.
Cali is out for now unfortunately, can't afford it but maybe later on.
Ive been looking at Denver and Vegas.... Denvers climate is PERFECT for me but the city life seems kind of overshadowed, all I hear about is hiking and the like or the "LoDo" area.
Vegas is Vegas, what can I say it sounds awesome, the summers are brutal though but I guess being from TX I wouldn't notice much of a change, at least they don't have the sufficating humidity that we've got down here.

Ive thought about Chicago, Philly and Minneapolis too, I can stand the cold no prob but I hear the winters can get to be a real hassle after a few years.

Your right, I didn't get too specific. Whatever you do DO NOT use the "best places to live" guides online, they are total BS. I live in the currently rated "best place to live in the US" and it SUCKS!!

I want somewhere that doesn't make me feel like I am in Mexico!!

It's nicer than it gets credit for. Lots of nice neighborhoods, great buildings, big malls, everything you could want. And lovely Michigan weather (sort-of joking, sort-of not).

NOT MINNESOTA during the winter.

It is too hot in the summer, it is too cold in the winter.. we get no rest here. Not many blacks/mexicans however, comparing with southern states.

Now if i am looking for a city with great YET not criminal nightlife. Where i can go out at night and feel safe in the downtown. Where i can wear no coats in the winter, where would is a place like that?

Rio de Janeiro, Brasil

Nice weather year round, beutifull women, beaches.

People say that a true carioca loves
women, futebol (soccer), beer, cars. Not necessary in that order.

Do you really think that Rio is only that movie?

Every city has its problems, but Rio is still a nice place to live.

This weekend was awesome 38 degrees celcius, beaches full, women, a nice cold beer at the beach and enjoy a day with friends.

as we Cariocas (those who are born in Rio)
CIDADE MARAVILHOSA wich means MARVELOUS CITY!

I garantee that if you ever visit Rio, you´ll love it!

I used to live in Tampa which has pretty good nightlife(Ybor city) and TONS of very hot girls but I was there for over a decade. I got sick of the place. I may move back to Florida though, perhaps Melbourne, I don't know really. Sarasota is nice but not much going on.

LA is a cesspool. You might as well move to Tijuanna.
