For my situation I saw a woman at Cingular wireless, she was about a 7-8, I introduced myself and said "Hi, my name is Mike, what's your name?" and she looks at me like I was some psycho guy and she reluctantly answered "Christina...." and I just said "Nice to meet you" and she just had a smirk on her face. I just stopped. I knew she was very hot and I brought her down to my level maybe she thinks she was too good? What went wrong?

What you did right: You approached and you followed your gut (and the 3 second rule).

What you did wrong: Couldn't say.

How to improve: If youre serious about doing cold pickups or you think it's a situation you'll want to get into again , have some prewritten cold PU material. A standard interets question (Moving into an appartment with 4 girls , do you think it's a good idea...).
So you don't have to try to think of something on the spot.

this afternoon im gonna go to the mall food court and maybe see a woman I might find good looking and if she's all by herself... what would you say to her if she is sitting down all by herself ? i want a plan so i can do it flawless when I go there.

What would you do if some girl came up to you and said, "Hi, my name's Christina, what's yours?"

Think about it for a second. Visualize yourself shopping for cellphones, unaware of anything around you, and suddenly someone out of the blue wants to exchange names.

Wouldn't you be a little disoriented, confused, and nervous??

A name is potentially intimate information. Why are you offering that to her? What has she done to deserve it, besides just being a girl?

You can be more creative than that.

I CAME UP TO A WOMEN (hb9)IN A CELL PHONE STORE ONCE.. WE WERE LOOKING AT THE SAME CELL PHONE (WELL NOT REALLY, SHE WAS THERE FIRST LOOKING AT IT, I JUS CAME OVER AND PRETENDED LIKE I WAS LOOKING AT IT)

THIS IS WHAT THE CONVO WAS LIKE:

ME: this is a pretty cool phone
HER: yeah my cousin had one
ME: Well yanno I would get one if i had a beautiful women like yourself to call.
HER: *blushing her ass off*

after about 2 more minute of conversation I told her I was leaving and right before I walked out the door she came with me and gave me her number.

I called her the same day and hit it!!

See the only reason why I said that was because that's what I learned from the DJ bible on approaching somebody.

You approached and no one can take that from you. Lots of stuff in the DJ Bible is JUST to get people to the stage where they CAN approach. Doesn't matter if you go up to her and say, "I like sex with gorillas!", the fact of the matter is YOU TALKED TO A GIRL! You're not living in fear of them any more.

But now you've come to face the dilemma most people do when they educate themselves with the material on this site. They've learned they CAN approach, they've DONE it, but once the approach is complete (once they've gone up to her and gotten her attention), they have no idea what to DO!

Approaching is just opening the door. It's going up to the arcade game and dropping your quarters in. NOW you have to start developing some skill at PLAYING. THIS is where you make your mark on the girl, not just in the approach. You don't beat the game just from dropping your quarters in, even though it's a start. The REAL substance of your encounter comes AFTER the approach, and THIS is where you're lacking now.

Way to go on Chapter 1 of your transformation. On to Chapter 2.

I don't usually do cold pickup's. I don't like them - and I can understand hot chicks just roll their eyes when they are hit on by some random guy in the street.

Having said that - I'm always looking for an "In".

My "In" is something that I can use in my approach.

Example.

I was at the mall and there was a good looking chick that was looking at celtic ring designs. Since I'm a celt - came to the us 10 yrs ago - I approached her - and opened with a comment on the celtic design. That was my in.


I didn't ask for her number - because I didn't get the "vibe" that she was interested in me at all. And that happens. So I just chat and then move on.

You've broken the approach - now you've got to develop your own unique style.
