I know it varies from country to country but in the civilised world of the US and the UK what would you consider short, average, tall?

I'm 5'11 and feel like a midget a lot of the time. I'm starting to wonder if a lot of guys are wearing shoe lifts.

Kids are tall these days... it ain't no thang for young guys to be 6'6, but for most guys, 6'2 is still considered pretty tall, and 5'11 is quite average. (I said 5'10 was average in my previous post, but a 5'11 dude in the morning would be 5'10 at night...)

I go to the website celebheights.com quite a lot. Its got nice discussions on famous dudes' heights.

For an indication of how 5'11 is an average height, celebheights lists Brad Pitt at 5'11, Michael Fassbender 5'11, Orlando Bloom (who's wifey is smokin hawt) at 5'10.5, and Matt Damon at 5'10 flat.

I'm 5'11''. I consider myself to be average. There are a lot of guys taller than me, but I see most guys how are about my height and shorter. I would consider tall to be 6'1'' and up

Of course, women may exaggerate it a bit, (especially since women are getting much taller these days too), but even if you are 5'8'', you are still taller than most women.
If a woman is hung up on your height, then forget her

5ft 9 is apparently average height for the UK across all male age ranges.
I find I'm probably on the short side of average among males my age, but it's nothing to worry about.

Floyd Mayweather is like 5ft 7, do you think he walks around feeling sorry for himself?

It doesnt matter only the height as number but also how you are perceived.

Muscular guys usually seems taller since they "fill" space, while I noticed that many guys that were taller than me actually looked my height or short if not close to compare.
Also personality plays a role, dominant man looks taller even if they are not.

And dont forget your body posture as well, most of men could get a inch only by filling their lungs and walk straight.

Regarding your question I agree with d1ckmojo, just considering slight difference between countries actually, tall in spain is average in holland.

I'm 5'5" and I consider myself short, but I also do not care. My height has been an advantage to me so much that I wouldn't change it if I could.

The bottom line is that women only care about your height if you care. They seem to be content if you're taller than them. I'm sure some taller women have shot me down because I'm short, but I've also hooked up with girls a couple inches taller.

I consider like 5'10"ish pretty normal.

You guys are delusional. 5'10, 5'11 "average"??? "short"??? Maybe in the NBA.

5'9 is average. Anything over is considered tall. Anything under is considered short.

5'10 is two inches away from being 6 feet. Hardly short, or average.

There's a lot of short UFC fighters. In striking, being short is actually a big advantage if the shorter fighter can stay in close enough range. And in jiu-jitsu, taller people have longer arms and legs, which make for better levers to crank the wrong direction, as well as skinny necks, which are much easier to choke.

Even at an amateur level, maybe it's because of the weight classes, there are more short fighters than tall. Wrestling is the same way, especially at collegiate levels. You don't see many tall guys. But at the same time, from what I've seen at least, most of them seem to do fine with women.
