They are naturally disloyal
They are already mentally exited from the relationship

People can be happy in a relationship and still cheat. Someone could have a super hot boyfriend, who is also rich and she might want to cheat on him.

Like they said some are disloyal and some are just greedy, and some make mistakes under alcohol, not realizing that they can't hang with their single friends who are still doing meat markets...

What kind of a stupid question is this? Every woman is different and has a different threshold. It's like asking "how many tacos will it take to induce diarrhoea?" It depends on the tacos and the person who eats them, doesn't it?

Complex answer: Like the other posters mention, many things but then again, you shouldn't worry about that OP. Things in life happen, the key is how you respond.

So if a girl cheats on you, the question to ask is not "Why did she do it?"

The real question is "Are you respecting yourself enough not to deal with her anymore ? When she will start crying like a baby asking for forgiveness and that things will be different, will you be able to tell her NO, walk away and never speak to her again ?

I am asking this question, as vague or stupid as it may sound, it has been asked before and the web is awash with exprets, women and otherwise asking the very same question. I am after what reasonable members of this forum think and if any of you had first hand experience of dealing with it.
I know we all agree that there are many reasons why but is it safe to assume that there are women who under no circumstances would cheat? Can you be the ultimate alpha and still find yourslelf in the receiving end?
