What to talk about...

There's this girl who i kinda like and she shows interest, but she is in the grade below me.
A lot of the talking i do is about funny things that happened in a class or a story involving people that both the person and i know. I also am kind of a smart ass and i make sarcastic comments about things that are happening around or about the teacher or something alot.
So anyways, since the girl is a grade beneath me, she doesn't really know who i know and she's not in any of my classes, so most of what i usually talk about, i can't really talk to her about because it wouldn't really make sense to her.
That's not to say i can't talk to her at all, its just that...i can't find anything to actually have a decent conversation about, and its starting to really bug me.
Thoughts?

"What do you do for fun?"

And than continue from there...

You can talk about events going on at your school, like a fashion show or dance.

I'd go with questions along the lines that "It's-Me" suggested. Use open ended questions that get her talking. Often times once the conversation gets going, you'll fall into the listener roll. Get her to talk about herself...

I chose to post here because I just recently answered this question myself. This post most likely won't get read, but hey, even if it helps one person, that's good enough.

Here's your answer: you don't have to talk about anything. It's that simple. When you are "in the zone" ( I hope you know what I mean), it really does not matter WHAT you say, but HOW you say it. You need to be sexual in everything you do, not because it's who you want to be, or because I said so, but because you are a man and you do what you want.

I talk to girls about NOTHING all the time. It's taken me a while to learn what that means, but you can make convo about anything, and nothing. There is literally an infinite amount of things you can talk about. Can't think of something to say? Say exactly what you are thinking to her right at that moment, I tell you 99% of the time it will be better than nothing. Why you ask? "I would never say that, though!" you tell me .. I'm telling you to do it.

Bottom line - learn to talk about nothing while having fun and you are golden
