What to Say When They Ask What You Do For Work

When a girl asks you what you do for work it can often times come at a very early stage like the initial conversation so when I talked about saying your a ninja or your a secret agent your really setting yourself out from the rest of the guys. Personally when I lived in college residence when I was taking firefighting I did not tell girls firefighting. Sure they would like that but its a lot better to say something funny because obviously you have a job. ID HOPE.

I feel like whenever I tell them what I really do for a living, they do not seem to care much. After all what I do is boring and I don't blame them. So I was thinking of being playful and instead telling them I do something bizarre. One idea that comes to mind is that I am a bookie, that I solicit bets from people for horse races and other sports. I could come up with a lot of role-playing along with that and at the same time they would not believe that is really the case. I am interested to hear about other bizarre jobs you could come up with to entertain your sets with.

I told a woman that I was 35 and I was running for congress. I was not even 20 (and no one ever believed I was older than 15 because of my looks.)

"So can I count on your vote?"

I did it with a completely straight face... she started to believe, and I just busted out laughing.

I've said I was a spy... a superhero, and a zoo animal stand in. You know, when the ape gets sick, they call me, I dress up in a costume...

If I'm not in a joking mood (I must be dead!), I'm honest, and I do what I can to sound excited about my career (usually this isn't a problem, as I actually like what I do), and that's a great thing. I think the important thing is how you sound when you talk about it.

So after starting the thread, I actually applied this in practice. The girl asked me what I did for a living and I told her that I was a bookie. What's nice about this is that I can create a story line out of it, there is this local shady spot where old people play bingo, I tell them that this where I work. At the same time I tell the girl to keep it a secret because I don't want to get arrested for it. So you see a lot of playful elements here. Now the girl will always say that I am bull****ting her but its a million times better than the response would I get if I had told her the truth. Telling them the truth usually just ends the conversation right there, not much reaction out of it.

The part "Hi my name is George" is very important. Most girls won't what you said with the tv show.
