well i basically added this girl on facebook a few weeks ago cos she went to the same uni as me and i ended up seeing her at a student night, i thought i would amaze her wit a little game of me guessing her name by palm reading (which wasnt guessing cos i already knew her name and she didnt) and she was super amazed and **** and that it was magic, then i saw her on the way out at the end and we talked for a bit and exchanged words, then i went to get my jacket and she followed me and i was like u need to stop stalking me , wehn she left she gave me a hug and her friend was like LOL why did u give him a hug do u even know him, she was like i felt like i knew him .

anyways i didnt go for the number close but i saw her on facebook, so i started talking and the convo went like this

so after that i stopped talking and just went offline cos i couldnt be ****ed, she sees me next day, i have one of those upside down status thingies and shes amazed lool once again i go magic and she goes everything u seem to do is magic, and i was like it seems so doesnt it

then i tell her how to do it, and she changes her ting to was taught magic by a certain someone lol

what i wanna know is did i do something wrong that she didnt want to give me her number, cos i feel i will get more progress if i was talking on the phone and meeting her in person then talking over FB, which is why i didnt tell her about me there ruins the air of mystery, what should be my next step here?

see the situation as it stands is that i have no way of contacting her outside of facebook and i dont just want to talk to her through that, i could possibly see her at next weeks event but thats never a garuntee, i really thought she would give me her number that easily, i was thinking that her being this on not giving it can only mean low interest? i dunno

To me, it seems really obvious that you are gaming her. I mean by your conversation. Don't know how smart she is, but there are a lot of girls who would pick up on some of the things you say and it's obvious. One example:

That is so extremely obvious. Or even if you actually mean it, it still SOUNDS like you don't and are just saying it.

A more appropriate response to her "i'm waiting for marriage to have sex" (which may or may not be true, btw...sounds an awful lot like a **** test to me) would've been something like "Oh, well then you're gonna have to stop hitting on me."

Another break (and obvious sign that you are gaming her) in the convo happened with this:

Boom, all of a sudden you are qualifying yourself to her and making it seem like you are trying to "make a good impression" on her (and her immediate internal response is going to be "why is he trying to make a good impression on me?").

My critique is that it just seems SO obvious by your language that you are just running some kind of BS on her (even if you're not, it sure sounds like you are).

Your approach here is only going to work on a girl who has HIGH interest in you. A girl with lower interest in you is going to get more turned off by your approach than anything because of the obvious "breaks" in your coversation that aren't congruent with what you are trying to say/do.
