What to do in Vegas

I always come here to ask this because I figure some guys on here have to be making the rounds...work sent me to Vegas from today till Friday. What are some good nightlife places I can go to Mon-Thurs night to chill, have a few drinks, maybe take my chances with the ladies?

Last time I was here, it was right when the recession hit...EVERYTHING was closed. I took to hollering at girls in cabs to find out where people were going. (which worked, surprisingly)

While I'm at it, who has a good poker room? (not looking to play big, maybe $1-$2 NL cash or a sit-n-go)

For sure hit up XS at the Encore and Pure as well....but XS for sure.

I'm staying at NYNY. I'm here for a conference at Mandalay and this is as close as I could get...well, that work would reimburse me for.

Pure is at Caesar's right? I think I went there once but it was closed for a private event. Way ttoo much of that around here. Where is Encore? Don't know if I've ever been there.

I walked by the poker room at Mandalay earlier...probably going to check that out.

Encore is the twin hotel of The Wynn, right next to it. Probably the two best hotels there. Classy, new, HOT girls, great atmosphere. The people who go there aren't your people from Louisiana going to Vegas on the Red Star special trip lol.

Yeah I like Mandalays Poker a lot. Big, lots of cool people go there, and its right in the middle of the action.

Speaking of, I turn 21 in December. I plan on spending it in Vegas. Where's a newbie like me to go? I've been to Vegas plenty of times, but this will be the first time being 21 and "legally" being able to drink and hit up clubs. In fact, I've never even actually been in a real club. I wonder if the game changes. From now on it's going to be chicks who are all older than me.

I probably would've stayed elsewhere on my own money, but it's actually YOUR money that's paying for it. (figure that one out ) So they won't put me up in one of the pricier places. This is good enough so far...like you said, it's just a bed.

Last night I crashed halfway through SNF, so I didn't get out at all. Tonight's probably a poker night, unless I end up having to "network".

I go to Vegas once a month or so and actually dont mind going alone, I've done that 2 or 3 times. Sometimes its nice to just get away by yourself. I usually relax by the pool all day, hit up the sportsbook around 5-9 betting the horses and games, then the casino, then hit a fun bar or club where you can hang out with fun new people (mainly girls haha).

No problem with sleeping in the first night. Rest up for the rest of the time you are out until 4 AM. What I would do is go over to Encore this afternoon-dressed in your best outfit, and play poker and hit up the casino over there, talk to some girls you see hanging around, and hook up with them later at XS.

I gotta figure out a way to make that jump from mid-roller to high-roller... I just got a drink from one of the casino bars.... 13 bucks. I am in the wrong business.

For what it's worth, even though the casinos at the South end of the Strip are WAY more visually appealing, if you're looking to gamble hardcore on a limited budget check out the North end casinos (from the Sahara upwards). Table limits are much lower and there's tons of hot foreign b!tches.

Oh man, you're buying drinks at a casino bar? Never ever ever do that unless you are in a dance club and have no choice. First, get yourself some alcohol to keep in your room to predrink with. And then, just gamble and get free drinks (other than what you tip the ****tail waitress). The sports book area is the best for that.

LOL...well last night I was "comped" by some of the players in the Mirage poker room...I bought into a 1-2 NL table for like $200 and cashed with about $500.

Probably had a bit too much to drink. And both my drinking and my "gaming" need calibration...I'm kind of all over the place.

SR is topless only. It's illegal to have a fully nude establishment that serves alcohol in Nevada. If you want fully nude you have to go to little darlings.

You can tip singles at the stage but lap dances cost $20 a song?
