Been beasting and improving ever since.
What the **** happened?
Every thread is someone *****ing about some problem or stupid pointless questions.
I remember this forum used to be sweet.

occasional is the right word, this forum is so negative. Everyone on here is b1tching about some girl who isnt calling him or texting him back in 3 seconds. Does she like me?! ?!?!?!?!? The most common question recently.

What am I going to do? I'm going to encourage our lovely moderators to get a bit tougher on banning these trolls so that our forum looks like less of a joke on the rare occasions that I visit (you are a great poster, by the way).

There reaches a certain point when you can tell that a person is trolling a message board for their own amusement, and guys like gspshields2 and Toast123 are just taking a dump on the guys with real questions and issues.

It's like, I want to help the dude who just got dumped by his girlfriend of 2 years, but then I see some thread about "As an Israeli of African descent, American women suck!" and I roll my eyes and get the F off of this forum.

Forums do go in phases, this is true. Right now we're in a 35% troll phase. And we can either wait for the trolls to get girlfriends or graduate high school, or we can just nip it in the bud.

I tend to agree with you, especially your parenthetical remark.

But seriously, I do agree that the trolling rate has gone way up. We mods aren't given the right to ban people on our own. We have to submit the proposal in the mods section, make our case, and the list owner decides whether to ban or not.

I think the general way of doing business here has historically been to be a little slow to ban people unless they make a fairly serious transgression, in order to avoid being overly heavy-handed. It's easy for banning to get out of hand, and I have seen it on other forums.

Your points are very well-taken and I'll keep my eye out for those guys who are trolling for their own amusement, as you say. I appreciate the constructive criticism.
