I actually have something to "contribute" this this thread:

This happened twice...once when i was only 12 or 13. The second time just happened last week. The first time I was holding some fruit juice in my hand in a 7-11 and this big kid (I was a kid too remember) drank right out of my straw. I felt so powerless. I didn't do anything except to pretend that I didn't care. And I didn't drink from that cup...

Last week. I was (also) holding fruit juice (plus vodka this time) in my hand in a bar. This guy (who happens to be latin by the way: no intended correlation to the original poster's background) who were in a group (always in a group!) took my cup and drank from it. Damn him. I didn't want to start a fight. His friend told him to give the cup back to me. I didn't drink from that cup.

Alas, I guess 10 years later I still look like somebody who can be bossed around...

Racism was a factor because they kept calling him a "spic". It's a racial slur, like Chinc or Raghead etc.

Yea, but it wasn't just because he was latin. they were looking to start shi t with him regardless of his race. had he been short, they woulda called him midget, had he been fat, they woulda called him fatas s. They were looking for a way to get under his skin, and the fact he looks mexican was the first thing to come to there mind.

Speaking of martial arts, Muai Thai (thai boxing) plus Jujutsu is a lethal combination.

Most street fights are either close combat or end up on the ground. The short knees and elbows of muai thai are great for close combat, and nothing beats jujutsu on the ground.

When I was in 10th grade back in the 70's white boys used to try to jump nigga's they caught walking alone until they started getting shot...I was walking home and this truck of them rode by all where white except this mulatto in back who thought he was white...they yelled out ****** and of course me being me even back then I yelled back. they screeched the truck around. I moved onto these peoples yard and picked up this hughe rock and glared them down...nobody said anything....we just stared. I memorized their faces...they were seniors at my high school.

They left and I made it a personal vendetta to kick the **** outta each one of them when I caught them alone. the first one was a few days later I was at this cheap assed carnival. white boy #1 was messing with my eggheaded older brother...I beat him down like biatch...I stepped on his head...kicked him in his mouth...stamped his nuts I think I got him there he was trying to curl into a ball...then a bunch of senior brotha's gathered around me when his boys wanted to start something.

Ok story over....let's just say what goes around comes around!

I was a martial arts nut...I hadn't learned the zen philosophies yet I was just into sparring back then...

I'd advise you go take some lessons and learn to defend yourself. but also get some courage! Jackals like that can sense weakness.

If I had of shone weakness when I got jumped I woulda got run down by that pack of doggs. And I'm sure I woulda killed atleast one of them with my rock before they got me...my courage (or inner savage) saved all of us!

I got everyone except the driver back...this big steroid dude..who ended up in jail before school was out...

I saw a couple of black gangsters start picking on a black guy walking down the streets.

They just look for the optimal situation or person. No matter who it is, if they think they can pull it off they will do it to you.

If you don't want this to happen walk with your head held up high, shoulders up, chest out. Dam man, strut like your gods gift to earth and can take on any piece of **** who comes at you. Look straight ahead like you know where you are and comfortable with your surroundings. Having your head down is like painting a bullseye on your back.

Look the aggressor straight in their eyes and don't break your confidence in your walk.

I walk quite a distance downtown everyday at night. I encounter thugs, gangsters, and punks and never get **** from anyone.

If I would have stayed, I would have gotten my ass handed to me. No question. I know what I can do, and I cant fight this many guys.

Second, I live in Canada. Where I live, there are almost no other latinos. I know very few, and I do not "have a posse". Im sure racism had little to do with it...I think they would have bothered me anyhow. And no...they aren't scared of latinos....they don't know enough to be....besides, I was by myself.

Im really not an angry guy. I didn't hit that guy out of anger, I hit him because I knew I could get away. I have never seen these guys, and I doubt I will. I've already forgotten what they looked like. I was a little angry when I posted this, but since then, I've chilled out.....to tell you the truth, I was more pissed that my coke had fizzed up.
