that letter is typical woman bs, they love to throw the blame on you and make themselves innocent.
you think she started dating another guy the next day? she was dating the both of you way before the break up, she was cheating on you with him, but she will never point that out or admit it, so dont bother bringing it up.
you'll learn that's just how women are.

anyway, i read this once;
the opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.

so dont show you hate her, dont show you're angry at her. Just be totally indifferent when ever she comes to talk to you (face to face, ignore everything else). being indifferent will destroy her on the inside, it's like a uppercut to her stupid ego.

Maybe your drinking problem is the problem... maybe you should stop drinking so much?
