A HB9 in the office has a bday party coming up and everybody is invited. I havent focused much attention on her but shes had the hots for me for awhile. Mostly by accident on my part.. didnt notice at first was just being my usual self lol

In the email going out to the office she asked people to confirm invite but also put in a line about looking for help cleaning her house. I guess this was an AFC/attention call. Obviously I call her out on being stupid.

HB9: the day that makes me 1 year older is approaching.... this year I decided to make a party at my place to celebrate. ...Of course who is willing to help me is very very welcome (I am getting old and I am becoming more and more lazy)

ME: I'll think about it, not sure if I should go if your too lazy to clean your own house hahahaha

HB9: :)

Thoughts? Losing interest? Playing hard to get? I was full sure she would get pissed at my response and take back the invite lol

For those wondering why I dont go for a F-close, there is a 10 year gap between us, and HB9 or not thats pushing it I could do better. As well obviously Im much more cautious around office chicks unless I feel they have high IL. Im already wondering why she is holding a party this year out of the blue in particular because I just started here.

What would you guys do? The party is in 2 weeks. Not sure if I should go to the party with a random babe or ask this one out before hand.

Not a bad response by you. Not great. Kind of childish. You're right about her dangling AFC bait though.

But stay away from women at work, #1. And #2, nobody who posts on sosuave can "do better" than a HB9, no offense. If indeed she is an HB9.

And lastly, why are you so confident that she "has the hots for you?" Based on the fact that you're writing about her on the internet whereas she is probably not even thinking about you right now, I'd say you're projecting. And no, she's not having the party because you're there. Sorry.

I'm guessing that you're 25 or under because when you get to my age, and you've dated as much as I have, you realize your true worth on the mating market, which is never as high as you initially thought.

Just bein' real w you my boy.

I would have said something like "I'm confident you can handle that on your own. When's the party?" or something along those lines. Any time a woman dangles AFC bait for me I tend to just brush it aside like it's nothing.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

it's "you're to lazy"

Agree with Zarky on an okay response. Not much else she could have responded with, it was perfect on her part, it got you thinking. If you would have left off the hahaha she might have came back with something else. Just roll with it. That is kind of odd that she's asking for people to come over and help her clean though, probably used to AFC's doing her bidding. So she's a slob and an AW and probably has amassed a few orbiters. This one could be easy if you just ignore her at her party, next thing you know she'll be pulling you into her room....

Lol at you not focusing your attentions on a 9 who likes you because you can do better. 10's(girls with PERFECT bodies and faces) don't even exist, so a 9 is about the best you can do. Also, I highly doubt she's a 9, as I find a lot of guys on here overrate girls, like calling Kate Upton a 10, which is laughable(Not that she's ugly, but she's nowhere near a 10).

Not to change this topic into a grammar debate, but since you decided to do so you should at least do it right. Trying to correct someone who is indeed correct to begin with, with a false rectification is probably the dumbest thing you can do on the internet. Unless you were trolling.

"To" is a preposition, introducing a noun ... went to the window; fell to the ground; travel to Paris; very occasionally an adv. ... come to; heave to.

"Too" is an adv., meaning to a greater extent ... too large, too much, too loud; or extremely ... too kind; or also ... I'm coming too; or moreover ... we must consider, too, whether they should be invited.

Your

Your is the second person possessive adjective, used to describe something as belonging to you. Your is nearly always followed by a noun.

What is your name?

Is this your pen?

Your book is on the table.

This is your chair and this is mine.

What happened to your dog?

Your being here is causing some problems.

You're

You're is the contraction of "you are" and is often followed by the present participle (verb form ending in -ing).

You're going to be late.

Is that what you're wearing?

I think you're lying.

If you're ready, we can go.

I can't believe you're a doctor!

When you're my age, you'll understand.

I agree with most I know I am overthinking it before even posting and thats probably what she wants. I was curious if trying to make me overthink is a sign of low interest attention whoring or actual interest in your experiance. I think from the varied responses I will have to come to this conclusion on my own.

More context: She has in the past tries to sit close to me, shows strong eye contact and to initiate kino, tries teasing but being a HB9 is pretty rubbish at it, however she has never asked much about my thoughts on relationship topics or inviting me to anything specific.. coming across a bit ambiguous. I dont like to read too deeply into IOI but my overall impression is a curious level of interest but expects me to suggest something. I could take it or leave it which is why im a bit bothered about overselling myself. Because of the age difference of 10 years I do feel her game is damn tight compared to my own (her response a typical example) so I err on the side of caution if I feel im being duped. Most girls I have known so far are much more direct/aggressive either by bluntly asking if I have a girlfriend, bringing up sexual topics/compliments or on the otherhand just by ignoring me altogether.

And yeah, she is defo a HB9. The reason I say 'i could do better' is purely on age not her looks or a mythical 10. Shes HB9 now in no small part because she works the gym alot, but in 3-5 years quickly HB7-8.

Could be, but from my experience shes always the center of attention and surrounded by orbiters. I normally chat with other girls/guys and am normally the center of attention in my own circle thanks to SS lol. Expecting her to drop her fans and come over is probably not going to happen. I dont feel that waiting until Im one of the last people at the party at 3:00am in the morning is the right decision, or even letting it get to that point in the first place, because thats weak game. In my mind the only way I could see myself moving forward is if I ask her out on a date at her place (she lives close to the office) in advance of the party otherwise the interest will pass while she pools all her options. I still feel asking first is a bit lame considering hit-and-miss IOI. Wouldnt mind exploring this option but I think she expects me to give up the frame first by being super direct.

You are implying that I didn't know the difference between "your" and "you're" based on me correcting someone who used the word "to" wrongly. What OP was correct in this scenario was the usage of the word "too", and yes he spelled "you're" wrong. Another failtroll jumping into clueless assumptions just to up his postcount. Well done.

OP, I don't see why you would think you can do better than a HB9 even if shes older than you. Just go for it if you feel she has a high IL. However, having sex with chicks you work with usually doesn't work out very well.

Repped for being awesome.

This is a cute topic OP. But realistically ,we can barely understand why females react the way they do to major events in their life ,and you want us to decode a mere smiley-face ?

I personally hate :) <- that. Partly - actually no , entirely - due to my ex. She used to use the :) when she was pissed for whatever reason and I just grew to hate the emoticon , so now I automatically associate it with a semi-bad reaction. Something along the lines of "I'm not entirely pleased with you comment so I'm semi-pouting now".

haha, yeah, got me on the to, that was pretty dumb, see I can even make a mistake  But, you were incorrect on "you're". So, your false rectification of my false rectification is dumber than using the word to, so let me rectify: "you're" more dumb.

Anyway, the point I was trying to make is some girls can make a big deal out of proper grammar, so Dragonblood you got a free grammar lesson, incase it wasn't just a typing error. The words "their", "there", and "they're" can also get you sometimes. That's all.
