Damn... this is the 3rd time i'm writting this.

I want to feel more like a man than a teen. Like if I had a car, a goatee, and a job, that would help increase that feeling. I'm 18 and in college. I still feel like I'm a kid who hasn't became an adult yet.

When I'm with a girl, I want her to feel like yea, that her man, he's got things going on. I can't really explain it. I've always envisioned that I'd be doing different things when I became an adult. Is there ever a change? do you get what I'm talking about? Any advice/suggestions?

I'm not having a problem with getting girls right now, i'm not a "nice guy" and I've read that thread b4.

This is more of something with myself not other people, there are things that I think take you from the point of being a teen to an adult. And like I said above, facial hair and other things that I believe can increase that feeling.

I'm still pretty much doing the same stuff that I've been doing, there hasn't really been much change. But I definately think that making me get a car would really give the feeling of actually being an adult.

Maybe what I actually need to feel that way is more responsibilities, i don't know... grrrr...

I'm assuming your family is all dead now, and they left no message to the world, I'm assuming you had your **** chopped off, and your balls are shriveled, I'm assuming everybody in your life is perfect, lots of assumptions saying you need more responsibility punk.

You sound ungrateful to the people that love you. Nobody's ever told you you were wrong, nobody's ever told you that you need to work on your life? Those ARE your responsibilities.

What are you talking about? How did family even come into this? When I say more responsiblities I'm talking about working, have things that I have to take care of, places that I have to go, etc...

If you want a job, get a job. If you want a car but dont have the money, get the job and save your money, get you're butt off the chair, turn the computer off and look for a job. you want to be a man, hit the gym and work out, its not that hard, man sorry if this isnt the answer you were looking for but its the only way.

I'm in college, therefore I'm broke. If I do get a car, my father will pay for the insurance/other expenses. I've tried looking for a job and I'm still trying to get a job. Can't afford to work out in a gym so I work out in my room and jog around the block every other day.

I'll try to pretend you didn't just say your family is not part of your responsibilities.

So what you just want a job? As in employment right? Is that the only thing you want as a responsibility, do you believe you are actually going to do everything you are responsible for, if you can't even admit that you have some OUTSIDE of work?

you need a better outlook. Get a regular job (like at a supermarket), save for a month or two and go on a cheap holiday somewhere... whenever i get depressed or stuck in a rut this always helps me (and im only 17). Go scuba diving, take up boxing, do a PU bootcamp, etc, whatever. If you wanna feel like a man then act like one.

What does a vacation mean to you Spiky? It's been a long time since I've been on one, I wonder if I could learn from taking one as well.
