OK I was in the mall one day and I wanted something to drink. So I went to this one place and there was a girl working there that is fairly hot and probably my age. I said "Can i have a Dr. Pepper" and she said "No". I know she was joking but i had no clue on how reply to that in a funny way so I just stood there saying nothing until she said "I'm just kidding, I can't believe you thought I was serious". I felt like such a retard

How about "geez, then what are they paying you for?"

Or "what, planning to keep it all for yourself?"

That's a couple thoughts.

To her "No" I would smile slightly, raise an eyebrow a bit, and say "Oh... is that so?" She'll most likely giggle and say "Yes". Then I'd keep the same demenor and say "Ok... let's try this again.... can I have a Dr. Pepper." If she keeps this up then leave. Once is cute. Twice is dumb.

Why not just have a blank stare on your face. Im sure that would put her on the spot also and you can look like a dumbass.

Can't throw away oppertunities like these!!!!!

"Can I have a Dr. Pepper?"

"No."

"Can I take you out sometime?"

-before she answers

"What's your phone number?"

You'll get it...

Then, as you walk away...

"Thanks for the soda!"

That's just an example, but what you've really got to start doing is think like a DJ in these types of situations. With the change in mindset you'll be able to handle these things better.

Da Game's are good.

If you're feeling up to it:

"Can I have a Dr. Pepper?"

"No"

"All right then I'll get it myself!"

Jump over the counter and get it yourself. This demonstrates, initiative, boldness, playfulness.. you name it. It's the "I take what I want" attitude.

(just don't get in trouble :D )
