What PUA material would you recommend to a friend starting out?

A good longtime buddy of mine who had a girlfriend for a long time is now single again and I'm finding out he is one of the worst AFCs that perhaps I've ever met. I don't even know where to begin with this guy explaining how fcked up his inner game is. The dude is a wreck.

Anyway, of all the intro to PUA stuff out there, which do you think is the best to give him to start out with? Esp with regards to the stuff about getting inner game together.

Seeing as how he just got out of a break up, he at least has some level of game. The key points I would recommend is:

- 3 second rule.
- Don't be afraid to escalate.
- Never be ashamed of your horniness (being a man).
- C&F and DVH, but not to over qualify yourself.
- The anti-slvt defense.
- Exposing your innerbetaness AKA falling back into AFC mode. (Which probably could of saved his relationship in the first place)
- The value of persistence.
- The value of spinning plates.

I would say those are the main key points. I can't stress the bottom one the most. Spinning many plates allows you to naturally pass any sh!t test. Anytime a girl gives you sh!t, then you already have some others waiting on the bench. Having a revolving door of pvssy allows you to dodge anything that comes your way, and makes the ladies crave you even more. It also keeps your head straight and falling into a oneitis.

You know what the fact that he just got out of a relationship is kind of irrelevant here, because his clock has been set so far back that he's doing things I would expect of a 40 year old virgin. Like sending messages to girl on facebook he hasn't seen since high school and telling her he was madly in love with her and that he still has feelings all this time. This girl is engaged btw and lives on the other side of the country from him.

Now he's met a "penpal" on craigslist that lives in France about a week ago and is already talking about he may have to go over there and visit her and telling me how cool she is. He told her that he would never be able to talk to her in real life because she's so beautiful. I'm shaking my head in disbelief. I don't think I've seen a case of AFCism this bad. And that's only 2 examples, there are more.

I was used to seeing him with this one woman he was practically married to, so I never really found out about his ultra AFCism since they broke up not long ago. What I'm learning here is that having a serious long term girlfriend is NOT a cure for AFCism. AFCs get married all the time just by sheer dumb luck or chance, but the woman will wear the pants in their relationship and she has all the power.

Wow, it sounds like has has A LOT of ground to cover. I say this over and over but I think if there's any true dating guru that people should be listening to, it is David X. Most of these gurus are students of the game who converted from being AFCs. imo David X is the master of the game and was always a natural, or so it seems.

Just because a guy has had a girlfriend (even a hot one at that) for awhile doesn't mean he has any sort of game.

Women date men out of boredom sometimes and boredom becomes a routine for the longterm until she figures out she can break out and do better.

Honestly I'd just point him to these forums. I mean how many forum posts do you see a day about breakups and Ex's? I feel like if anything he'd learn most from an environment where guys are going through the same thing. Right here.

It'll introduce you to the WRONG things.

If you REALLY want your friend to work on his inner game, get a copy of David DeAngelo's "Deep Inner Game" program and "On Being a man" program. That'll straighten him out.

I personally think David X and Juggler (Conversational Jujitsu) can change his way of thinking and make him a man in time. I referred my friends to David D's mailbags and though learning C&F has a transitioning phase where you become an a-hole as you improve your banter, we all do it like second nature now, I read the ebook (david d) once and practiced C&F for 2 years, we all got laid alot.

i agree with EFFORT, Foundations by RSD, but have you ever looked around and noticed that the guys who're getting laid the most aren't using any special "material"? Your cornerstone is the entirety of how you roll, not some methods.
