I was just browsing online news stories and one had a catchy Headline link like they usually do about Martha Steward's daughter Alexis' tell-all book. This stood out:

While talking about their neighbors, one of whom was a woman who was married to an wealthy unattractive man, Alexis says Martha gave her this little piece of advice: "[My] mother actually told me when I was a small child, 'Now Alexis, if this ever happens, you make sure you have sex with somebody else to have their baby. Don't have his baby.' She was very practical about it. It was a survival skill -- you have someone rich and ugly who takes care of you, and you have someone who's hot and makes attractive babies."

Hmm doesn't that sound familar around here except looks matter? Ugly, rich provider and a good looking guy for sex and babies.

Interesting for sure, but lets not be too overly surprised. We are talking about a convicted felon here. I think it was already pretty well known that Martha is a very calculated, and cold person. That remark fits exactly with what I knew of her.
