I don't get it. I'm latin.and i've noticed that whenever I dress "down" (pj's, winter hat) I get more attention from all types of girls for some reason. I've got a couple of friends that are basically drooled over by chicks on campus (one straight out of jail, the other's a pot head). The only thing they have in common is that they dress like thugs (one used to be for real, the other one's just a pot head). Their personalities are totally different. The pot head is lazy/goofy looking, while the jail guy is calm but has an intense personality. Maybe it's all about not giving a ****? Whenever I seem to do that, more attention comes my way.

Well, if it's just the dress code, I am as surprised and curious as you are.

I have 2 wardrobes, my hip-hop gears and my 'preppy' clothes (Benetton).

I get ALOT more attention in preppy clothes than hip-hop clothes.

I have noticed that since I moved to montreal, I have seen a few girls with wiggers, but I didn't pay too much attention. I thought it was popularity thing.

just different parts of the country man. Girls here like the metrosexual look. If I ever dressed like that I wouldnt consider myself a man.

Do people on this site live in a bubble or something? Not all girls like the same style...Some girls like the hiphop look, some girls like hipsters, some like the prep look, etc...Some people dont look right in certian looks and they look better in others...Dont get it twisted, you dont have to walk around in a suit or dress up all the time to get attention from women...People who rely on expensive clothes need to step their presentation and body language up...Sh1t, one time I smashed this one lady, and I was wearing a white tee and old jeans with a hole in it...Was it the clothes that made her want to fukk?...No, it was my body and my body language that turned her on...Belive me...

Of course, but it's more than that (the type of woman.) The question is, is it the wardrobe/image? or the individual's personality?

That's a pretty bold generalisation, but even taking that under consideration, my 'type of women' are more the 'classy' one, but the ones I see with the rappers wannabe in mtl are the same type.

Give me a break... people need to stop it with this meterosexual crap.

Some people like to dress nice and take care of themselves. Theres a HUGE difference between being good to yourself and being gay.

If you'd rather look like some ****tard follower that trys to get girls with "ice" and "bling" be my guest.

Oh and by the way... you can dress it pal... but you'll never be a "thug" and you dont live in the ghetto

1. Its both of those, plus the dudes presentation...Its about how good you look in the clothes...Ive had women actually approach and flirt with me when I was in a hoodie and jeans and timbs cause my body language is so good...And these are like middle age soccer moms and sh1t...If you dont have good presentation, it doesnt matter what you wear, you still wont get anything...

2. Yeah, it is bold, cause I see girls that dress all up going out with all different types of dudes, so its dumb to say that only low class women like it...Class isnt about what kind of clothes you wear or how expensive they are, its about the actual person...Sh1t, look at Paris Hilton, lol...

Buddy, I take care of myself, I spend time spiking me hair, I wash my face, shave, clean and wash myself. I'll even put cologne on.

But Metro sexuals are the one getting pedicure, manicure, facials, make up and ****ing lipsticks.

BIG Difference.

Of course it can be both, but I was concerned about the 'non-personality' variable. Could it be because they wear baggies or it's pecause their personality outshines it?

Gelling your blonde-tipped hair everyday, wearing tight shirts with the collar popped, with tight jeans and boots, and a satchel(not backpack) is not taking care of yourself. It's being gay.

Its cause the clothes they wear....Some girls think hip hop style is sexy, just like other girls think dressing up is sexy, etc...Like I could go out with jeans and timbs and some girls would hate it...But then I can change up and do dress shirt with blazer and some girls will love it...The problem is is that people have been brainwashed to think that girls only like men who dress up and thats farrrr from the truth...They think that cause it makes them feel better than the next man cause hes dressed up more than him and they think women will feel the same way, but thats man logic and women dont think like men do...

Well I dress up and the girls that would be considered more on the classy side based on looks are the only ones that give me attention. The rest don't even acknowledge me so i'm just speaking through my experience.

Actually its not...

Being gay is having sexual intercourse with the same gender.

Half the guys that are percieved as "meterosexual" dont wear lipstick, they dont do manicures, or pedicures. Hell i'm not even close to whats thought of as an average "meterosexual". I'm just sick of people thinking this is a new thing, I've got a friend thats constantly harped on by everyone else, just because he dresses nice in hollister and "meterosexual" clothes. So what.. he carries a bag instead of a backpack. That doesnt mean he shoves his wiener in mens asses. Meteros are often cool, stylish guys that just take an extra effort to be their best. You cant say much bad stuff about that.

I go to a Japanese/English language exchange twice a month. The first time I went I was wearing loose fit jeans, a shirt that says freshjive on it, a wristband half way up my arm. I walk in and I notice that every guy in that language exchange place was wearing conservative cloths with no labels, they look like your normal guy. As soon as I sat down I had 4 hot Japanese girls talking to me and ignoring the more "well dressed" guys there. I said I listened to hip hop music and that I like break dancing, they all became very happy and gave me all of their attention. I got numbers from two hot Japanese girls and I'm having sex with them both and they know about each other to!! LOL!

And this just going to the Language exchange twice a month when it is actually held once a week.

Even though I work in a record store making 7.75hr, dressing like a bum half the time and banging a hot orthodontist that works in the same mall?

The definition of gay is a male who enjoy sexual intercourse with other males. Just because some people actually care about how they look doesnt make them gay.. Lol you need to rethink that man. I dress up alot. I find it easier to stand out when it comes to women. I enjoy being clean and well dressed. I would sure hope you do too. But thats just me.

please, what you are describing are not metrosexuals. Get it right, metrosexual are pretty radical.

Metrosexuals are males who would do things that are socially considered to be strictly female. ie, lipstick, make up, pedicure, manicure, ect.
