What habit do you think you do that has helped your success in life?

For example, the usual practice 10 min. to an hour a day practicing chords or scales for a musical instrument.

My favorite habit is smoking. Too bad I had to quit.

A habit that has helped bring success in life? Hmm, I don't know that there is one. Wouldn't be a habit then, would it?

Eating raw brocoli with every meal. I hate the texture. I hate the little bulbs that get stuck in my teeth. But the energy I get from it is awesome, as well as the boost in testosterone.

Playing the guitar, I need to practice more but I play in a band and practice twice a week with them and a few times a week by myself.

Broscience. :)

Props for eating broccoli with every meal though. I can't choke the stuff down raw anymore. Good non-bound calcium in the broc.

Regarding habits, probably keeping up with world events and domestic/international financial markets. That has translated directly to personal profit.

Regarding the most fun, probably weight training.

Aside from that, I do not like habits. My roommate wakes up at the exact same time each day, eats the same **** each day, and at pretty much any point in time I know exactly where he is and exactly what he is doing. No he is not employed. I used to invite him out at night when crusing with my friends, however he rejected every attempt at getting him to socialize, always with some lame reason like "I have to get up and <insert habit/routine here>."

While regimens are necessary for success, in many cases regimens/habits/routines can also lead to a life of misery, regret, loneliness, and boredom.

It really depends what the habit is in relation to your objectives.

Eating plenty of fibrous foods. It's hard to beat having regular, effortless bowel movements.

I fixed the title, seems someone here can't read and write well.

Thanks for the criticism. I will try harder.

That said, Vice had some solid advice. I think that eating fibrous vegetables is a solid idea.

Especially, since so many people eat a large amount of animal protein-it would only make sense to eat broccoli in order to lower ph acidity.

Going to the gym, and putting in an effort to keep up with a lot of friends (meaning ones I don't associate with on a day-to-day basis).

Both are new habits for me, and have greatly enhanced my life in so many aspects.

1. Making food 2 days worth of food in an hour and storage it for consumption. Saves me so much time and money. It's crazy what kind of crap you are willing to eat when you are starving. My pre-planned meals consists mostly of chicken or beef with mixed vegetable and rice. Tastes great and very healthy as an added bonus.

2. Working out 3-4 times a week. Look great and feel great for myself. Added bonus is my woman loves it too.

3. Weekly and daily budget. I basically know where every penny. I don't make much, but I don't waste much either.
