What is UP with the "masturbation discussion" in the Archive?

It's the longest thread in the history of sosuave, and every time I peak into it, I get this creepy chill under my skin.

There is just something weird, something wrong, something very UN-don-juanish about a bunch of guys celebrating how long they can go without masturbation.

I can not see guys who rejoice about this kind of thing, or who make not masturbating some kind of goal, I cannot see girls being attracted to that......

From what I know, girls are always attracted to cool suave guys who go with the flow, guys who do not analyze "not masturbating" in a cult-like fashion. It just rubs me the wrong way to see this kind of excitement arise from not masturbating.

Seeing things like "I haven't jacked it in 3 weeks I am soooo cool" creeps me out quite honestly, cuz no player or don juan would in their right mind ever THINK or TALK like that.

I don't know what is wrong with the sex drives those guys in that discussion are having, but they have some serious creepy weird things going on in their heads - me personall, I can jack off happily 4 times and still have plenty left fo f*ck the hell out of some girl 2 or 3 times later that night (just an example)

Creepy stuff you guys are talking about on that discussion, those kind of mindsets will NOT get you laid by hot chicks. There is not a single guy out there who gets hotties on a consistent basis that even THINKS about "how many days can he go without masturbating".

All the reasons for not masturbating are complete bs except for the extra motivation of having to get out of your comfort zone and find women. Good for you is not masturbating does it... Why not cut out something less sexually frustrating like TV instead though? If you're one of those people who actually can put the whole "no masturbation" thing to good use, enjoy... Otherwise why do that to yourself? Don't tell me there's more to it than that unless you have relevant proof.

If anything, I masturbate more often when I'm getting a lot of sex. I _think_ it's because I become more more sexually minded. BUT I'm not going to state that as fact. Some of you no-masturbation guys could learn from this: 99% of you don't have any hard fact to back yourself up on the more ridiculous claims of your method. 0.9% of you are trying to make connections between a few articles and your very limited knowledge of physiology. ...we all know masturbating is perfectly healthy, the only reason to go without doing it or to do it excessively is ironically the same reason, usually a competition of some sort is involved. The act itself is just something we all do, some more than others, and some for different reasons, I personally find I almost never masturbate when I'm my most sexually active. It is, however, always a good platform for a joke or otherwise light-hearted discussion that all guys can relate to, and you sir (poster above me, and op) should not be attempting to make it any more of a big deal than that.

I've never checked it out either. Personally,I consider Jayer's 100 Approach Journal to be Sosuave's longest running thread. That masterbation thread in the archives is a MERGED THREAD,meaning it's two or more threads merged together,or at least that's what i think merged meant. I give the nod to Jayer because it was his thread that inspired me to become a member here.

my advice is pretty damn valid, because it is based on life experience, and YES, the problems that all of these guys have with their "guuurlfriends" can all be solved if they stopped committing themselves to these girls in the first place

Not one of those people try to shove their beliefs down your throat. People come to them for advice, and they give it. They dont come to you telling you how you need to live your life. And, they dont tell you it's lame to stop jerkin off.
