What is up with the grammar and spelling on this site?

I may not be the world's best speller, and my grammar may not be the caliber of which doctoral thesis are written, but what is up with the complete lack of basic skills in most of these posts?

I ask this not to come off as some intellectual snob, but because many times it's really hard to decipher what the person is saying. I can understand a few problems if English isn't the person's first language, but often times the authors were born and raised in the good ole US OF A.

I'm not saying your punctuation and spelling have to be perfect, but if you're going to ask a question at least invest in spellcheck.

Obviously you're threatened by somebody pointing out the fact that basic writing skills make it easier for people to read your posts.

Not only can you not spell, obviously you can't read either. Like another poster said, I specifically addressed the fact that not all people on this forum have English as their first language. I'm not talking about them; I'm talking about people from English speaking countries who write like they're in 3rd grade.

This is one of the things wrong with our country. People don't take education seriously. I know this has nothing to do with dating, but it does have to do with the information being posted on this site. How can someone with a reasonable semblence of intelligence read that crap?

I wish I knew to whom to credit this quote. I saved it many years ago from a message board. I think it may have been someone on slashdot.org.

I agree with mr know itall . I'll skip posts or threads of people who don't know how to form a basic sentence. Learn to write like it means something to you, not like you're doing IM while riding your bike. I read some pathetic questions by someone who can't use basic spelling and grammar, and its obvious where their problem is.

hey i agree about Royal elite making asll of his s's into z's for no reason - but if one is making a long post and makes a few spelling typos because he is typing too fast, then that shouldnt really matter, ive never seen anyones post that was just so horrible that it made my eyes water - i dont notice tiny errors as long as THE POINT is made and the thread is good
