What is the telling her "I saw your twin" trick?

So I read in several posts where the "I just saw your twin" trick was mentioned. I tried searching around the Internet with no luck. Could someone explain it or direct me to a page that discusses it in-depth?

its an safe opener that plays on a girl's curiosity to try and get her permission so you may speak to her. even if you receive that permission, it doesn't "create attraction" nothing verbal creates attraction. She will ultimately look at our picture and decide if you are sexy and cool enough to go out with and/or potentially have sex with.

i prefer "hey sexy b1tch".. tell that to 100 and the ones that answer are definitely interested.

haha, good stuff! I have known this girl for just over a month, sort of an occasional flake, but that's expected from any girl. Last Sunday she flaked on me, we were supposed to meet for coffee, and said lets do this "next week".

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out whether I should invite her to join me for lunch this afternoon.

well I guess I can say, since most people here will say anyway , if you want to invite her invite her for a real date, reading the forums they have several ideas about to where take a date, and lunch is one of you shouldn't do it (unless she have a high IL I guess, so it won't matter, no the case here)

i use that as bait to get a response from a text message. it works well on girls that are not very responsive to texts. have a story in mind cause she will ask to hear about it. here's how the conversation should go.

me: omg i just saw your twin!!!
her: really? what happened?
me: too long to tell over text
her: c'mon tell me
me: kinda busy right now, meet me for drinks in 2 hours and i'll tell you all bout it.

boom! you got a girl that rarely responds to your text messages, and you got a date out of it. another one i like to use is "omg the craziest thing just happened!"
