What is the best thing to wear on a casual first date?

As some of you know I was gone away for a while. And I have no clue what to wear on a first date with this super sexy woman I am seeing in a few days. We are just going to a coffee shop, so I am always kind of thinking a fairly prep look usually works. What do you guys think?

I usually wear good dark jeans, well fitting v-neck, solid dark color, and fresh shoes or leather boots.
Simple, but as stated, make sure everything is well fitted, clean and fresh.

Thanks for the thoughts, unfortunately haven't purchased a fitted shirt yet (although I do have clothes that fit nicely). Really I am just trying to think of tops to wear. I have a nice pare of what seem to be semi-formal sneakers. Then I'm going to wear beige diesel jeans. For the top I'm undecided between T-shirt, dress shirt, plaid, or maybe a tshirt with a light cotton jacket overtop. I'm in my twenties and have very nice physique.
