It must be in the business model or something, but I'm pretty sure Starbucks has the highest HB per customer ratio on earth.

Because I live withs omeone now, for a copule of months, she didn't seem to comprhend that just because I was home, doesn't mean I'm not working. So to make things easier, plus just to get out the house and drink lattes all day, I go down to starbucks (if not go to the track) and use their internet connection instead of staying home.. I don't get as distracted, i get more work done, and faster.

while i'm here, it's like a parade of ass that walks though the door. And I don't mean 18YO emo girls who have cuitest features.. I mean foxes. I just saw a woman who was every bit of 6'1 and couldn't have been over 130 pounds, in high heels and a mini skirt, at 10am!

I mean.. the coffee is good, but it's not THAT good.

Leykis explains it better than I can but anyway the gist of it is the name Starbucks has become associated with being hip and trendy.

Stupid people of both genders buy into this nonsense and go there for their overpriced brand name coffee instead of buying the same ingrediants and making their own for far cheaper.

It is the brand name and the Starbucks establishment people want to be associated with because by association they reason they are cool.

Smart guys go there to see if they can pull one of those HB's you mentioned BB.

i will say this... people aren't stupid.

How many of you have a car that happens to have leather interior? How many people in here drive a mercedes, lexus or Audi or anything like that?

Are people who "pay 50k and above for a toyota (lexus) stupid? No. for them it's worth it.

worth has a different meaning to everyone. My mom, doesn't comprehend paying 5 bucks for a venti carmel frap (my fav drink). to me it's worth it, becuase 1) it's good and 2) i don't wanna make it myself 3) the atmosphere is more work condusive than sitting at home with an 8 months and 3 weeks pregant GF

you aren't always paying for a product. that's small minded thinking.

How much does the internet cost you there. I know alot of places had free wireless, but I think that one you always have to pay.

In any event i need a dedicated second office. Screw off too much at home.

Starbucks is one of the great stories in modern brand-building. They know what they sell, and it's not coffee. Countless business books chronicle their rise.

He's got us there. Starbucks is certainly a better option than hanging with a prego nag at home. Wuldn't it be ironic if he met her at a Starbucks, and now he's come full circle. JK

Right again. You are paying for the convenience of escaping a pregnant, hormone raging, man-hating GF. LOL

I love Starbucks. We have 5 of them in my town and I've spent time at each of them and the single cohesive theme throughout all of them is how conducive to bohemian mentality they are.

You can share an espresso with an artist, a writer, a businessman, a derelict out on his luck or just jive with one of the regulars (each Starbucks has thier own throng of allegiant customers).

The atmosphere truly does help me focus when I'm writing. Perhaps it's the color scheme or they may spike the Pike Place? Who knows and who cares.

I agree with Brother Backbreaker that no matter which Starbucks I've spent time; from the Starbucks on Park Avenue in Manhattan to the ones here in town, It is truly an HB magnet.

You can't get that at Dunkin' Donuts.

I personally love Starbucks. I ironically don't drink coffee but I do love their non-coffee drinks and their atmosphere. Somewhere, some time, Karma and I should hit up one of their delicious establishments while he ghost hunts and I ghost bust. (Hear me, brotha?)

Starbucks is a good company. I've noticed every employee that I've seen at starbucks really enjoys their job, and the company they work for. They seem to be treated well.

Also, starbucks backed and supported a small not for profit company called Ethos water, by stocking it in all the coffee shops. Ethos contributes a percentage of each bottle sold towards bringing fresh drinking water to under-developed countries.

The goal is 10 million donated in 5 years, all due to starbucks.

Also, if you want more "bang for your buck", get a grande americano. A grande americano has 3 shots of espresso, compared to a grande latte with only 2.

The americano is also cheaper, around $2.20. Not a bad deal, if you like strong coffee, like I do.

I found the 25 cent espresso shots to be the only redeeming quality of the Miami airport. That was ten years ago, though. They are probably a dollar each these days. That would still be a better deal than starbucks.

I don't drink coffee but I dated a Starbucks manager awhile back. Over the course of 3 months, I eventually tried every snack on the menu. Their cupcakes are bomb

I drink a cup of coffee at starbucks probably an average of 3 days a week. There coffee is expensive but it gives me a jolt like no other coffee. As far as gaming at starbucks whenever I go in there it just seems like a bunch of wierd AFC's types of dudes sitting around. The woman are usually there chatting with a friend. Doesn't seem like the best place to game woman. Although I chatted up a hot romanian girl and ended up number closing in the parking lot but nothing came out of it. I am pretty much in and out of there. I never sit in there unless its with a girl I am seeing.

the problem with many coffee shops in the UK, is that they are filled with mothers with babies and prams. You can hardly get into some of these shops at the weekend without tripping up over kids buggies etc.

$29 a month. I don't mind paying because I am always guranteed a seat somewhere, where the free places is always clogged up with freeloaders.

she's really not THAT bad. Her problem is that, she like me likes to watch races all day, and she gets..well.. too much into them. screaming, yelling, cursing, pulling for trainers she knows, asking me questions.. then there's Dr. Phil, who she is a huge fan of, so i ahve to watch that ****, in the living room no less

I had a crossant yesterday that was mouth watering. and you gotta admit.. you don't become the biggest brand of coffee by haivng bad coffee. it's pretty darn good.

I'll explain why i liked starbucks.
*The coffee is **** but it has a lot of caffeine and comes in a large size (i was a student).
*The store location and seat layout was great since i could check out everybody walking past or read a book in the sun.
*heaps of asian girls hang out at our starbucks, i happen to like asian girls.
*The staff actually made an effort to get to know my name and we'd chat about **** regularly.

Now 1 year after i stopped drinking coffee at that starbucks i'm out on the town having a few drinks with mates at a pub and this girl waves to me from the other side of the room. I head over and she says 'your names Chilli right? How have you been?' Thats good customer service.
