Bankers own the media, the media idol worship celebs. It is pointless, but it will come a time when the masses will have deep hatred for celebs. That time will come sooner then you think.

There are some ironies and inaccuracies to learn from in the McCarthy hysteria for those interested in truth in history.

1. McCarthy was not HUAC, HUAC predated McCarthy by several decades. The left wants everyone to believe they were the same thing because they want McCarthy as the figurehead of HUAC so they can paint him as a rabid dog and thus discredit -all- attempts to expose socialist agitprop and soviet intelligence/espionage efforts in U.S. as rampant paranoia. Neat trick that worked/works to this day. Truth is, there was never any real "red scare" and what there was has been proven justified in post cold war history. The Communist Party was not only a very real and powerful force in U.S. politics then, there was indeed significant espionage activity going on in the US. The reaction to it was rational, not some "boogie oogie scare." Very nice agitprop semantics from the left on this.

2. McCarthy's "reign of terror" lasted a mere 2-4 years (2.5 probably), yeah, that's it, as much hay as the left makes over it, it was just a few years. No one was imprisoned due to his efforts or executed, at most some people were slandered or inconvenienced. Go read the wiki page on McCarthy and see if you feel a "head scratching moment" at how long it is in light of the short duration and little real societal impact. I mean he's held in to the same level of contempt as Manson, why is that? Now go read the "Japanese American Interment" wiki page (about the same length) covering a very real, harmful social wrong where people were imprisoned and the U.S. has admitted fault.

3. So why is so much made of denigrating McCarthy to this day? Well the obvious answer in a leftomedia for decades is because... Republican. Why not much teeth gnashing over Japanese interment? because... Democrat. Further, A. He was right about Soviet and communist infiltration and presence as post cold war soviet admissions and records prove. If his image is ever revised as anything other than a raving psychotic, then this will out, and there could be more and more scrutiny of media and academia. B. Whether or not the commies infiltrated the U.S. government, Hollywood/big media has always been fellow travelers, almost totally pink, because it's where their money is.

And to the topic finally, is a $5 million a year investment banker going to buy a tabloid about Aric Baldrin, watch his exploits on Enews, or sit and watch 30 Rock, give two sh-ts about who Aric Baldrin, Miley Cyrus, Jay Z, Brad Pitt, Jim Carrey et al are? Or is that banker going to wet another line in a Nova Scotia stream far from any televisions, or have another toast point and beluga at the art opening? saunter in to the front row Met seats with their precious free time?

If you were Aric Baldrin, wouldn't you want money taken from the banker and given to the prole so the prole could buy your tabloids, watch your bad television shows, care about your various doltish exploits? buy your videos out of black friday bargain bins? listen to your sh-tty music? buy your sh-tty clothing and cologne lines? watch you being interviewed by big 3 network shows? Aric's agent and PR would sure want that. See, there's 3 democrat hollywood votes right there, and we just got started.

The main irony is that the pink tint of Hollywood and other large prole dependent interests and marketers (newspapers, big box stores, etc) stems from the most purely capitalist motives. Socialism, taking money from the intelligent, who tend to make lots of money, but who will never buy your product, and giving it to the prole who will waste it near instantly (encoded as "make the 1% pay their fair share") is good for business in Tinseltown, Rockefeller Center and CNN Plaza

Problem is, the funding rarely seems to get appropriated, especially when it comes to public schools.

Here in FLA we were supposed to get plenty of money from the Lottery drawings. Great idea, many years ago.

Many of our schools still suck, though. Teachers are still underpaid.

Nobody even seems to remember that.

Let's just face it: nobody can control anything--unless there's tons of money to be made by a select few.

Filmmakers often make a ton of money by fueling controversy and testing society's mores and conventions. I think that's a GOOD thing, though, regardless of a person's intent.
