No Im not asking for anarchy nor complain about how mods run this section but that would be interesting and refreshing to have a section where we can clearly speak our minds.

Moderators should only be active when someone violate some law through his posts but I dont find anything wrong to have conversation about politics for example.

Sure if someone say "we should outgun the police on tueday so we can deal with criminals ourselves" then mods should come but if someone simply states a political opinion and tells why there should be no problem.

In terms of bullsh1t, anytime someone tells any, there will be plenty of users ready to counter it.

Same thing with race threads, better to have them here then everywhere else in the forum and be forced to close threads every day, we are all adults and I dont think anyone sensitivity would be touched considered the nature of this forum.

They have already been leaving this section alone for the most part.

That's the problem...We (Mods) used to pretty much let anything go on in here (hence "Anything Else.") But people couldn't play nice and it spilled over into other forums/threads. Not only did it spill over...It got UGLY, QUICKLY. It's better to nip it in the bud when possible, to avoid future headaches.

Yep, I agree with TVM.

People get too easily butt hurt on forums, and having all kinds of vendettas, troll account wars, and "cliques" would absolutely DESTROY healthy conversation in other threads.

Ok I see what you mean, but that happened after the "flame thread" here was closed or they simply dropped it and kept going on the main sections?

If I got it right what you mean, it usually happens that some users are arguing here, then thread got closed and the part that "didnt have the last word" tries to resurecct the flame whenever he meets the other user.

At this purpose would be useful to just not close the hot thread.

I didnt open this thread cause I bought 10 packages of poc corns and want some trash entarteinment but simply because, thats one of the only boards where people can speak their mind almost about everything
and let people release what they really think and couldnt say everywhere else, I simply suggest an idea, of course its up to admin and mods to decide according to what they think.
I also think that if users are free to vent here, hardly they would do on main section given that there is low tolerance there while they have green light here.

Exactly but "vendettas" happen because the thread where they were arguing got closed while they didnt release it all, if given thread was still on they would concentrate their "energy" there intead of looking for other battlefields.

You are correct about it usually being the poster trying to "get the last word in" after it's been closed. However, keeping a thread open would not help. People would continue trying to get a "final" word in (for 10 pages...) and more people would tend to join in. It is like that whole "riot" mentality. Seems like a good idea to join in because so many people are, but don't want to deal with the consequence.

Any chance to make an experiment?

Even threads which derail in other sections could be moved here to restore some balance in there...imagine as a block where the police let the pusher work so they dont make a mess in the good ones.

I'll bring it up with the other mods and the admin. I wouldn't hold your breath though, but I'll check at the least.

The only moderating going on in this section is by one particular moderator shutting down dissenting viewpoints via an assortment of nefarious methods.

Just don't engage with the person who is incapable of debating without......

  1. Editing your post
  2. Threatening to ban you
  3. Ad-hominem attacks
  4. Telling you that you shouldn't be using the dictionary definition of a word
  5. Shutting down a thread when he is losing
  6. Defamation of your character

....and you should be fine.
Yeah I thought it was kind of beneath him to do that :/

+1 on this.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I think all our debates are obviously a colossal battle between two very intelligent guys discussing some fairly important topics (which I thought might make the site look good), but I think all our debates somehow end up in a big mess on the floor
If you respected that debate so much, wouldn't you want it to be on equal footing? When one side can delete and edit the other one's posts, it's not much of a debate any more, is it?

I post on another forum where free speech is promoted and you can say whatever you want and nothing ever gets closed or deleted. You can cuss people out, rant, flame all day and nobody cares. I wish all forums were like that. And there is no stupid curse word filter.

As for the support of posters, nobody says anything publicly here against you because they are afraid of your bullying.
Wut?? Talk about some interwebs hypocrisy. There's only one person editing threads and threatening to ban people here, bruh. And it ain't Danger.

Anyway, I'm guessing the real mods are going to have to make a decision soon. It's either bradd80 or about 15 damn good posters.

They should do it here. If someone gets out of control, there should be an understanding that they will just be ignored.

not a word in that post implies complaining. We're on a site that considers "@$$hole" to be a GOOD thing. Same with Alpha. The entire thrust of the post is my shock that not all a$$holes are alpha. Sound butthurt?
For one, I don't consider being an "a$$hole" to be a good thing. Your shocked that not all a$$holes are Alpha? I think you're confusing "a$$hole" with a guy that doesn't put up with a girls $hit, and puts her in her place when she needs a spanking. That's not an a$$hole, that's a secure man who doesn't put the the pu$$y before everything else in his life. He's also the guy that doesn't sit at home alone in a dark corner worried about what his girl is doing when she's not around.

Your view is on the opposite spectrum of mine Pairs.

Well you're much older so that's to be expected my man.
I had pretty much the same view as I do now when I was your age. Even though I had been successful during the LTR relationship, it was getting to that point that was the problem for me. The hook line and sinker. I had the hook figured out, but the rest of it was a mess. But once I did somehow get them in the boat, they were good to go. With that inbetween stuff however, I knew it was something I was doing wrong. So I worked on myself, and still am. And what do you know, things got better!

I'll tell you this: As a generality, if a girl cheats on you, or runs off and leaves you in the dust:It's because of you.

You can't change women, but you can change yourself....for the better
