Pook!

Thy presence is sorely missed. We bid thee appear anon and grace us with a visitation. You are hereby summoned.

But soft! Do I hear a whirlwind in yon distance? Verily, it is the Pook manifesting out of the whirlwind. Wise sage, what advice utterest thou, that we might profit from thy benificent locution?

Pook looked not unkindly into my eyes and proclaimed, "Atom Smasher! Proclaim to these men and boys that my philosphy can be summed up in one, single word."

"What could that word be, thought Atom Smasher? Is it "Alpha"? Is it "Non-desperation"? Is it "Frame"?"

Thundered the mighty Pook from his jeweled throne, "The word is ACTION!"

With that, a mighty firestorm descended around Pook, enveloping him in a swirling maelstrom of flames and carrying him skyward.

"But Pook... Wither goest thou? To rub elbows with Euclid? To hobnob with Socrates?"

"Nay", came a thunderous but diminishing voice from within the vortex of fire, "I travel back to my goodly wife. She has stated that she shall wring my neck should I neglect to clean up the garage this day."

Atom Smasher arose and wiped the considerable dust and debris off his clothing and did the only thing that can be done after such an encounter. He cooked himself a hamburger. "Action", he thought...ACTION..."
I wish I could remember what I was smoking the day I channeled Pook.

It is weird to go back a decade in time and find just how many folks in general move on from the forums. I used to be on Good Looking Loser's forum back in the day and realized how common it was for guys with high lay counts to move on from game and almost disappear. Getting laid and racking up a high notch count is one part of a man's life that has a stage to it. Some men get it out of their systems early in their teen years, some do it in college, some in their 20s, and some at some other point. After doing it for a bit and reaching a certain count, they just move on.

We had a number of guys from the Good Looking Loser forum, even the founder himself, have their fun for a few years and then move on. I daydream about this too but I know I have a lot of work to do with game and upping my count. However, I know that at some point, that time will come and I will have to move on to other things in life. Almost all successful men in game that have the lay count to back it up treat it as a phase in life and once it is done, they move on to other things.

I can only imagine how good it might feel to get to that point. To accomplish all of your game goals and then realize that you can leave in peace. To realize that you have proven all you needed to prove to yourself and done all you needed to do. Now it is like you can almost retire to another slower and more peaceful life. It has to be a heck of a feeling and one I hope I get to experience one day.

Pook disappeared. The good thing is that a lot of his writings covered topics that are still timely and applicable today.

Rollo Tomassi does still make the occasional appearance on this forum and he first joined it in the mid-2000s.

Om the other side, these forums are like gym fanatics forums. As long as you are in the power chamber it's all fun and games. But when you spend all this time giving and getting advice ,only to find yourself revert back to your bluepilled ways..its kinda shameful..

I don't believe members here suddenly find a good woman at 50 and disappear. I believe it's more like being on a self defense forum endlessly discussing fight tactics, but when you have a real life experience you still get your azz beat. So you tend to stay away out of shame?

With guys like Pook , maybe their legend outgrew who they actually really are. You see the same with let's say AMS. His advice is still solid, but when he now suddenly gets married he'll lose all credibility.

Its easy to talk to talk, but way harder to walk the walk.

During the three major times I took an extended break from SS since joining initially, I found myself slipping back towards bluepill territory. Not nearly all the way, but just back that general direction. The rest of the world is pretty much blue pill, and its easy to go back that way without thinking if you don't keep your head on straight about it. This place keeps my mind in check and keeps me maintaining where I need to be as a man, even as a married one now.

I can relate. The majority of my local area friends/acquaintances are blue pill. When they are blue pill and beta, they aren't incel. They are all typical married guys. Not a great life. Being a blue pill, married guy stinks.

Not sure if I completely understood what you said but the guys walking the walk don't post that much to begin with.

When you walk the walk, you don't have the time to argue, discuss theory, and get involved with the politics of any forum. You are out there, approaching, lifting, and putting in the work. I think most guys get to the point where they do all that, realize that they have had the success they wanted, and then soon find that there is really no helping most other men out there. They realize that the incel posts that flood up a forum are a poison to their brain, they did all they needed to do with game, and now they are happy to move on to other stuff.

TBH, I have found that most theory guys and guys trying to sound like authorities on game suck with women. Red Pill guys have the worst game because they take themselves too seriously. Often times, the best have little time to argue and just spend most of their time out there with women. Same with real life, the typical hood playa preaching about game and b1tches barely gets any. Meanwhile, the slayer is out there doing work.

I know because I have been on both sides of the fence, a health issue which I cannot see a doc for until January has me sidelined for the rest of the month. Hence, I am posting on here more and doing less action oriented posts.

I was talking specifically about dating coaches when I said walking the walk , and also about the fact that as a member its 1 to give advice but the hardest part is putting it into practice all the time. There is a thread right now about AMS for example. Why? Because he is a coach but he doesn't approach. Or other coaches that get married and divorced, while maybe they said for years dont get married or they have tons of videos taking about how to lead a LTR, while in practice they face the same issues as their clients.

The type you describe, who is slaying and won't post, is a rare commodity. That's either the natural who bounces from woman to woman, or even rarer, the man who was thaught RP from a young age AND lives by it. Such a man won't wont dive deep as to why woman A did this or that, but replace her. Most men will learn RP to eventually get into a bluepilled LTR. Maybe because they get tired of slaying. That's when even your friends might end up here. Simply being in a situation with a woman and being confused by it. Can happen to every man at some point.

Being bluepilled is the norm. Sosuave is like a barbershop, or a spot in the park where men gather and discuss in this case specifically dynamics between men and women.

I grew up in a community where RP was done before it had the name it has today. It was "uncle and cousin "knowledge. And it was a time where there was no Tinder, WhatsApp ect. So my slaying days were when I was younger , but I made TONS of mistakes. A combination of being, blue, naive and stubborn. A place like this is great for connecting the dots and to learn ,teach or even confirm things the way these dynamics work.

There's more to female Male dynamics than slaying. That's the first step. Everything after that becomes about details. I know you are out there these days, but will you do that forever? Perhaps sooner or later you'll decide to get into a LTR, and than a new chapter opens up. You could have slept with 1000 women, it won't guarantee you'll have a healthy LTR.

I experienced this as well when I was in a previous LTR. I found myself reverting back to blue pill behavior in order to "get along."

What I have found is that even though we all know these things past a certain learning phase on this place, "iron sharpens iron." It helps to be able to discuss this kind of thing with fellow practitioners to keep the mind sharp. Because it certainly can dull if you let it even though you know what is good and what isn't.

Just because they don't post on this forum doesn't mean they still don't do XYZ in their day-to-day life.

Do you think posting on a forum is linked to life in the real world? As in, everyone here is gaming women and the moment they stop they leave the forum?

I'm genuinely confused to people's perceptions of reality on this. You can just forget about a forum or decid to stop posting as someone discovered your username (like Amante Silver), that would cause a total cease in use, or maybe you just get busy with life. Who cares, stop being weird.

Which is why most dating coaches are frauds. They put on the mask of being red pill, MGTOW types, or looking down on randomly hooking up to up your notch count because they suck with women. I have seen it first hand winging with guys who talk a big game on the forum but are too scared to approach. Even if they approach, they come off as idiots and have no idea on what to do with women.

The guys who throw theories left and right on the forum and make long posts about society and red pill and those centered around politics often suck with women. Meanwhile, the best guys are out there putting in the work and learning by doing. You will rarely see them go in depth about politics and red pill theory non-stop on a forum because it is a waste of time.

If my health was any better right now, I'd be updating my field report :/

They are salesmen selling a product. From that understanding take everything with a pinch of salt. They thrive on secure, ignorant men to buy their products.
