What does borg mean?? German, finnish.. other language.

Anyone speak German or any other Germanic language? I'd like to know what borg means or the closest word to it.

Borg doesn't exist in modern German.

Some place names, however, end on -borg. It probably meant castle ("Burg") in the middle ages.

And NO, Finnish is not a Germanic language! There's pretty much no connection. Listen to some Finnish and you'll know for yourself :D

It's loose meaning is castle in Scandinavian languages.

Or Biological Organism. (ie cyborg).

Take your pick.
