What Do You Guys Think Of This? Unusual Situation?

I was seeing this girl on/off for a few years but it never turned into anything serious.

One day I got tired of playing games and decided to go no contact and just forget about her. This was about 2 and a half years ago.

Now just the other day, I get a text from her saying that she misses me and she hopes I'm doing well. (Keep in mind it's been 2 and a half years)

I ignored the text because I don't care anymore.

Then a few days after she sends me the text, I looked on her facebook and find out she's now engaged to her boyfriend. So, obviously they have been going out for a while. I just started laughing and said to myself, "That's odd. Why would she text me if she was in a serious relationship?"

What do you guys think? Why would she wait over 2 years to contact me again? And why would she do it when she's already in an obviously serious relationship with her boyfriend?

Do you guys think this is an unusual situation? I'm just wondering what game she could possibly be playing.

We wouldn't know why she contacted you just as much as you don't too. Maybe she just remembered you.

If you still don't care, then really just don't care.... At least until she states her reasons for contacting you clearly.

Not unusual at all. Dont try to decipher the meaning. It could be a genuine 'see how you're doing,' text, or a plot to make you jealous of her engagement, or her fiance pissed her off, so she texted you out of spite for him, or all of the above. it doesnt matter.

The off-and-on nature of your relationship tells me that she's an unfaithful type. She's always blowing with the wind (bad pun I know). She cheated on you with every guy that came along (another bad pun). She's going out of her way to cheat on her present fiance. If he's so AFC that he ignores the fluids leaking out of her every night, she'll cheat on her wedding day with some guy she wakes up with, with the taxi driver, with the best man, with the limo driver, and with some random prick she meets in the casino after the groom falls asleep. Count your blessings that you weren't stupid enough to propose to her.
