What do you do when the girl texts you first?

So this girl in school I know likes me. I could tell for a while. i'm just not interested that much, but she is probably good practice and experience so I'll keep her around. I'm not good at flirting at all. It's like I don't know how so this can be a great learning experience.

So today is just about the last day of school, this is probably why she came up to me to try to talk to me and she put her number in my phone and took my number.

Now just about 10 minutes ago she texted me saying. Hey . How should I respond. Should I just do the typical "I'm doing good" or something like that?

You're over-analyzing it. If you're not that much interested in her anyway, talk however you feel like, seriously. Texting is only for casual conversation, quick and to the point.

ok now this is a very tricky situation and a very good question. you must handle this very carefully now as not saying the exact right thing at the right time will make her ignore you. i remember the last time a girl texted me first saying 'hey smileyface'. the trick is to act like youre busy, but enjoy her texting you at the same time. now remember your core dj training, keep in mind DHV and CF, Hot/Cold, etc. DONT SCREW UP BY SAYING THE WRONG THING!!
