I know I've been asking a lot questions lately. I'm sorry, I just want to be better

So about this cute thing? What do you think

I was talking to this girl about two months ago on the phone and the convo went something like this

I told her that I didn't really have much to say and just wanted to hear her voice after talking for about 10 minutes

She : awwn, cute my name

Me: that name is making me cringe

Her: "you don't like it? OK, I won't call you that again"

Me: it's not like

Her: (cuts in) I'm sorry

Me: just that it's kinda feminine

Her: (little laugh) Are you not feminine

Me: are you kidding me?

Her: I'm sorrrryyyy

Me: When school resumes, you'll see I've changed

Her: Hmm, do you have abs, biceps, triceps, pectoralis

Me: Maybe I don't have biceps&triceps but you've not seen my abdomen.

Her: Abeg (Nigerian pidgin English for please), do you gym?

Me: I don't but you can't be so sure

Her: I can be sure

Me: Don't worry, I'll show you when we resume

Her: I'll be waiting

We talked about a few topics then I ended the call

I had always wanted abs like Ronaldo but this kinda pushed me to work. It hurt me a bit too

I've been working on my abs everyday since June 12. Results are starting to show.

She's called me cute about 2 times before this. Once as a comment on my picture.

This cute of a thing, could it have any positive meaning?

For my looks, I don't think I'm cute(looking like Korean actors), I think I'm quite above average

Her very close friend(Z), I know her too, once called me cute.
Here's what happened. The lecturer wasn't around yet so I went to talk to this girl in class. She was sitting close to Z like two seats away. For some reason I don't remember, I decided not to say hello to Z.

After I had been talking to this girl for a while, Z interrupts to say I didn't greet her or I didn't see her? . I replied her saying I'm sorry but you could have said hello to me too and you didn't. I followed that with a good afternoon, how are you.

At that moment, Z turns to the girl and says, isn't he cute? With smiles over their faces. I just changed the topic from there
What could this mean?

I certainly don't think I'm feminine but how can I be more masculine?

Don't worry about being cute.

Just make sure you're showing masculine energy, confidence and charm.

I've seen a girl talk about how ugly she thinks a certain friend of mine is, only to hook up with him a few weeks later.

And then she's like: "I don't know, there's something about him"

She honestly doesn't know why she fell for him, but I do. My friend was unaffected by her thinking he wasn't cute. He didn't care. This on itself was a huge turn on because it showed extremely high self confidence.

trying to qualify yourself....this wont end well she now controls the frame and will toy

you should be qualifying her:

"+5 points for your taste in music"

"I like a girl to carry herself a certain way, i think because you do , Im somewhat attracted to"

"lets see if you are as cool as you are pretty?"

"you look great(touch her dress),Im tired of women coming dressed as pole dancers(then walk off)"

"Beauties not all I want, unless that's all you got."(playful)

"do you always speak like youve got a Harley davidson Tattoo"(say this playfully)

"your so dramatic"(smerk at her)

"that was a bit creepy(tease ) i like dating creepy women(flirt)"

"Not just are you sexy, but I find other qualities that I like that in a woman and I want to get to know you more.....over coffee perhaps?"

create a common enemy "what do you think about people who tag themselves in relationships within 2 weeks of knowing each other, then theyre single a week later, grown adults?(laugh....wait for her reply)......"yes & i agree to me this is comedy value now"

You spent that whole call qualifying yourself to her, not good.

Some guys get upset about being called cute. But in my experience this isn't a universal type of things, different girls use it in different ways. From some girls it is a big compliment. Sounds like this chick thinks you're feminine however. You're young yet, you have lots of time to fix things. If I were you, I would hit the gym, start building myself up, then find other girls more worthy of your attention.

Cute means not handsome but interesting
Like I said before, I don't think there's a universal definition. I get the impression some girls use it interchangeably with "good looking". Others use it with more of a suggestion of harmlessness. It's kind of like the terms "dating", "going out", and "seeing someone". I've had conversations with women who thought that each term was the most serious of the three. It's a very individual thing how people interpret it.

A non feminist cute means very attractive.

I've learnt from my mistake. It was a call and that was what came to mind, almost spontaneous

Thanks

I don't know. I'm not cute. I wasn't even cute when I was a kid, but being cute isn't exactly the end of the world, either. Girls thought Davy Jones was cute, and many of those same girls were absolutely crazy about him. Wasn't that Justin Beiber's whole shtick, until he got out of his teens, and I bet his female fans(did he ever have any male fans?) Were crazier about him when he was still cute. 'Tiger Beat' used to be a fan mag dedicated to boys and young men girls thought were cute. It's an expression that, when used by girls and young women tends to describe a more "innocent" attraction to boys and young men who aren't particularly masculine(yet), and are perhaps a bit diminutive. At your age, it probably isn't a complete negative, since you're in good company...but I'm no expert on this. Might want to ask Lynx and BeExcellent for their feminine perspective, but unless you're cashing in on your cuteness, it probably justly feels like a backhanded compliment...particularly is she's talking about your behavior.
Yes, I kinda look innocent and I'm relatively innocent actually, lol
I'm not huge but I wouldn't say I'm diminutive

It seems she doesn't think you are masculine. Not good. Maybe, I'm misreading here.

"Cute" is something positive as others have stated.

Hell, I've even had gals use that term on bad a$$ modified cars so take it for what it's worth. It's just something that they say.

Also, if you joke around a lot or are a comedian, get used to being called a "dork" too. This also is used as an endearing term for some gals, mainly the younger ones.
