So I was listening to some oldies on youtube, and there is an huge difference between older musics and those we have today.

In the past, you had much more musics in wich women declared their love to a particular man. Now most of musics are about how women don´t need men.

I remember also listening to a discussion between my aunts and my mother, how they went to the clubs, and they would anxiously expect men to ask them to dance.... There is no doubt in my mind that men in the past were much more respected.

Also there seems to be a self-improvement in men, while women are degrading themselves all over. For instance, men today take better care of themselves, while women started swearing, drinking and getting fat. Although my social circle is quite big, I know very very few girls that are in shape after 23-25.....

Ironically, they have more power than ever, toying with the guys they want.

In the past, our family members were much more respected, so why do you think this is?

Well my dads only 51 (pretty young since I am 32) And he's dealt with some ****ty women and typical bull**** too. However when it comes down to it, it's feminism, that's what started it all, feminism told women they have choices, it got them into the work force more, and all in all made them think they don't need a man. And it just elevated since that.

Think of it this way, keep a dog in a kenal for a long time, then let it out, it's go buck wild. Remember when you first turned 18/21? You wanted to go out and get crazy and do what you can finally do now that you're of age. Just in this case it's a whole gender. And they are encouraged to do so. Bad thing is though reality has changed, media and popular opinion hasn't. IN the sense that men are still to blame for everything bad that happens in relationships to women. And they still are at a major advantage. Like if a women screws up, cheats etc, people are quick to give excuses for her, if a guy does it, he's a ******* and a jerk. PLain and simple. If you dump what other perceive as a good women, you will be shunned and people will wonder "why". If a women dumps a great guy, there's gonna be loads of bull**** reasons.

Times have changed, and it will take a few more generations before things get evened out.

This also explains why men prefer foreign women who weren't raised in a society that kisses their asses.

It depends what you mean by "we".

Let me elaborate, if you're a rich man in control of his life who bring status and power on the table you can still have a cute woman that respect you and stay in her place.
You're a valuable good just like her (according to modern standards).

If you're a normal men unlike the past you dont have the chance anymore to have a slim cute girl who doesnt throw crap at you for senseless reasons.
The only thing that changed is the amount of women in shape and the amount of women who are not corrupted from political crap or fake perceptions of themselves.

And of course the law, in order to give "equality" to women they simply left me out of the "equality" equation.

A rise in feminism and the death and destruction of the nuclear family has led to sites like this needing to spring up.

There isn't unity between men and women anymore, it's all about who can get what out of each other, we're basically in a proverbially war-zone.

Most relationships no longer have traditional roles, that's down to feminism. Feminism had bred a couple of generations of women who are self-obsessed, self-absorbed, self-entitled, pigs. These women want equality in a relationship, but very rarely do these women put the effort in to make a relationship work. It's all about what a man can do for me, not what we can build together and that's why so many marriages end in divorce. The woman is sat on her throne barking orders, driving a stupid man into the ground and then either cheats on him or divorces him.

Men are also to blame too, because men no longer have confidence in their instinct and what should come natural to men no longer does because feminism has challenged it and told us it is wrong. This is why sites like So Suave exist.

Feminism is like capitalism, it promotes competition and individualism instead of a couple being united together many are divided because they are constantly battling each other for control of a relationship. Also there is a ridiculous notion promoted by Disney which says relationships don't require work. My Grandparents who have been married for fifty five years would disagree with that notion. There marriage has never been a bed of roses, but they're still together because they realised that relationships can only work if two people work together to make it last.

We live in a disposable society where things are "easily replaced" so relationships like my Grandparents are a rarity these days. In the UK, the average marriage lasts for four years. FOUR YEARS? Marriage just isn't worth the paper it's written on anymore.

Hrmm let's see my grandfather was a playboy. He was a singer who was friends with Django Reinhardt and dated Miss France. My great Grandfather was a conductor and had kids in 20 different countries.

As for me I'm the furthest thing from a playboy ...I could only dream of being like my grandfather. Of course he was immensely gifted in the looks department (cross between Johnny Depp/Clark Gable)

Lack of strong male role models has also contributed.

Where's the next generation of Clint Eastwoods? Arnie's?

Look at the way males are portrayed in movies now, how many buff as fvck guys wielding miniguns decimating a jungle do you see these days? They are too busy *****ing about in fluffy party films or flying about in fancy cars.

What ever happened to the days when men brooked no nonsense, shot the sh!t out of everything and saved the day in a silhouette of explosions?

Hell even in the 50's, the guys were suave and charming, but they still brooked no nonsense and weren't afraid to put a woman in her place when needed.

perfect examples would be Dean Martin/Frank Sinatra. These guys were true djs. Charmin, funny, talented, partied a lot and had fun, but also masculine, took no crap from nobody and could have any women they wanted.

The Original Ocean's 11 movie (1960) (With Frank/Dean and the gang)

This is a pretty interesting topic from a psychological standpoint. Now I know things were not perfect in the past, but generally relationships were not taken nearly as lightly as they are now. Especially with the Christian influence on Americans. There were heavy social stigmas on pre-marital sex, interracial relationships and adultery. ( I have no qualms with interracial relationships)

Marriage was taken seriously, and for life meant for life, now marriage is a bargaining chip to get at some assets because you feel you "deserve" them. Love is nothing more than a bargaining chip used to gain an upper hand in the world, and when the grass looks greener most people move on to that pasture.

I myself could care less about if I am getting laid on the regular, I have had enough one night stands, sex based relationships and friends with benefits to discover that sex to get my rocks off is not all that fun and it gets boring pretty damn quick.

My father and I talk on this subject often when my mother asks "when are you going to get married and have babies" and I reply have you looked at the world around you? These women (for the most part) are greedy, self serving harlots and marriage is nothing more than a way for her to get half your stuff.

She thinks I hate women.

My father gets exactly what I mean.

As things stand now, I will probably remain a bachelor until the day I die, or until I find a woman who is not a glorified hooker. If I want sex, that is easy to go find but I am hoping that one day I can find something more than a ****doll. My guess is I will have to go to a damn foreign country.

Or maybe run Anti-Dump's machine lol

Tell me about it Bork, I already have one guy friend who has been married and divorced all before he hit 24. I have a few friends of the female persuasion who are "married" but I kick it with them at the bar and watch them make out with guys and run around acting like ho's. Even my sister has had 2 children out of wedlock been married, had a kid, got divorced and is now with some AFC in Tennesee who is being screwed by his ex-wife for everything he owns taking care of their 3 kids... It is like the ****ing Brady Bunch meets Jersey Shore down there.

Oh yeah! That reminds me of another buddy who married a chick just before going to Iraq, serves his time, comes back and finds out she has been the town bicycle and she divorces HIM!

Noone ever listens when you tell them how galactically stupid they are though. What can you do aside from watch helplessly as the world around you deteriorates before your eyes.

in the past women tended to defer to their men by default

it was a societal norm that the man was the head of the household and his wife was subservient to him

No need to waste time bashing feminism or yearning for a better time. You can wait for the perfect situation, or you can go make something happen with what you have.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.
