Used to live in Canada, I hear Montreal has an amazing night life, so does Toronto, but i've heard Toronto women are cold. I lived in Ottawa.

Vancouver might be good because it has that coastal city feel to it. I don't know about the mid-west cities like calgary, winnipeg, saskatoon, but I personally wouldn't want to live there anyways.

Also, what the hell are you thinking looking for a city to live in for dating?! you can date anywhere, find a good job that will further your career and self interests, then think about dating.

Well, i'm taking everything into consideration. Everything else is general knowledge that I can acquire by myself, but dating wise comes from people experiences. I was thinking about moving at Ottawa, how did you like over there?

I've lived in Toronto, Ottawa and Halifax. Like a previous poster said, Toronto women can be cold, well they can be all about the money and glamour. Ottawa was a great city to live in, its where I went to uni, I loved it, knowing french will also help you a great deal there. I've never dated there being older though so I don't know what that scene is like.

Halifax is another great city to live in as long as you've got an education or good work skills. You need to be able to get a good job, otherwise you'll be stuck working at a call centre. But if you can get a good job there, your set. The people are very friendly, I come from a small town, and it was like living in a small town, except there was 400 000 people there.

It can be divided as well, there is a rich vs poor demographic to a degree. However there is a great music scene there (good for dating) and a good grass roots community. However crime and muggings are a little high compared to most Canadian cities. I'll allow you to guess why.

That being said Montreal is one city I've always wanted to live in. Its truly a world class city, much more so than Toronto. If I knew french better I would definately go, actually I would like to go anyways, but I've already got my next adventure picked out.

But like a previous poster said, you should be basing your decision on your career, there are women in every city. Get experience, its invaluable, I wouldn't be able to do anything without my experience.

I've been to a few cities in Canada. Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal and St. John's. For women I have to say the best looking sexiest girls I have ever seen were in Montreal.

Grew up in Ottawa and I loved it.
I've lived in Vancouver for a few years now in/around UBC as well as having all my family here. It's a great place, but expensive to live in for the most part. It's a generalization, but a lot of the women here are rather *****y. Obviously there's plenty to disprove that as well.
