It's been my observation that success in online dating is based largely on the amount of attention that the women you're interested in is getting from other sources-------or through various other avenues.

If a woman is REALLY attractive, and she get's lots of attention in real life, or if she gets a lot of attention from social networking sites like "Facebook", then she'll tend to be less available, less agreeable, or less cooperative when it comes to online dating.

A lot of women who fit this category typically use online dating as just another tool to get an "Attention Fix" as opposed to a true avenue through which they can meet eligible men to date.

If you are going to do the online thing I suggest you learn a bit of Russian and get a Russian/Ukrainian/Latvian/etc. phone number (you can buy a phone card with one for under $2). Then go to vkontakte.ru That is the main Russian language social networking site. You will have hundreds of friends in a matter of weeks from the entire CIS/Baltic State region. Christians, Muslims, light hair, dark hair, slant eyes, blue eyes, etc. Whatever you are into. Best of all, it is free and as legit as facebook (which isn't saying much!).

How do you meet folks on there? Easy. Play games. Those people LOVE games. Lots of girls play them. Once they know you are from America you will be gold. Everyone wants an American boyfriend. That is MAJOR bragging status.

Should be used as a tool, not your main strategy for dating. You certainly can land some dates through it, I have. Hit up the free stuff as the paid stuff ain't worth it. Do some searching around for good ways to set up your profile and good opening lines.
