Um...I don't think so...I think The Wall was about Syd's issues.
Yeah, the young Pink was Roger Waters...dealing with growing up without a father and grammar school. The grown-up, crazy Pink was based on Syd.

The commentary on The Wall DVD is great. There's a fifteen segment on pedophiles by Roger and the artist guy, all spawned by a reference to the "short trousers" they had to wear. Hilarious stuff.

I'm both a Roger and David fan, though I have more respect for Roger's writing abilities.

Unfortunately, I left my Final Cut CD with an ex-gf years ago and haven't replaced it. It was one of my favorites. You can even find some low-budget Final Cut videos at http://www.pinkfloyd.co.uk

uhmm i think the wall was kinda for syds drugs and acid trips,,,, however the character in the movie much resembles hitler. hitler was a bastard child also, who was raised by his mother and the entire marching hammers to the beat with words such as " that one is jewish and that ones a fag... get em up against the wall" and all the army dudes that resemble hitlers army...

well you know what, whenever you watch that movie you notice something you didnt notice before.
some people like to watch the wizard of oz on mute with the wall playing in the background. i never did that.

i did make a tape once of the wall and the final cut together. the final cut is leftovers that were not put on the wall anyhow. i cant remember the order anymore. i think two suns in the sunset went before goodbye cruel world.

What do you mean which Pink Floyd? Do you mean pre-Waters-leaving and post-Waters-leaving?

I appreciate both Waters and Gilmour for what they contributed to the band. David Gilmour is one of my favorite rock guitarists ever, and he's the one who carried on the band instead of leaving and being a d*ck about it and trying to sue the rest of the band.
come on now, roger and syd formed the band and named it. syd cant be a witness because hes in the institution still. david and roger decided they no longer could work together and roger said fine he was out. all he wanted was for david to stop using the name pink floyd, because he and syd thought it up.

whether you like one over the other, you can see the point the guy was trying to make.

if james left metallica, would he allow them to continue using the name metallica without a fight?
