what are good ways to talk to random girls ?

I was at the local movietheater ,virgin record store, club area of my city and this weekend i noticed that there seemed to be a large amount of attractive females around my age or older in the area i am really shy with girls i dont know normally but this night i really wanted to hit on chicks so i went around the entire area yelling random things like "hey baby" or yelling out "ladies" or asking them for their numbers randomly from like 15 feet away but as the night went on it seemed like since there were so many hot girls this night , it was like i was being intimidated or sumthing but the worst part of the night is when i like smile at a girl as a pass her going up the stair way and she smiles back and i have nuthing to say its like my mind goes blank and it sucks cause i think i could date alot more often if i had the wit to come up with sumthing to say im slowly getting rid of the shy thing but i still cant thing of anything at all to say to a random girl .... does any one have any trickes or suggestions i can use to train myself to "talk on my feet"

How about after she smiles, say "hey how you doin ?"I mean its that simple.If she smiles back after you smile at her,YOUR IN.

Meaning that it doesnt matter wtf you say man,just have a preset line to make it easier and stick to it.They wont give two ****'s about what you say if they look interested all they want is for you to man up and talk with them.

wow it was embarassing even reading that thing about "hey baby" and "ladies".... if you want to talk to girls actually go up to them and talk to them

lol yeah... its pretty embarrassing but id only do it to a girl id never think of approaching ive been doing that lately to try and ween myself off of being shy

Ok, what do you mean "a girl Id never think of approaching". There is not a single girl that you can't approach and you will still get a result if done correctly.

Secondly, you say that quite often to smile at girls and they smile back, but you can't come up with anything witty to say? No offense, but that's kind of dumb. You are passing up an opportunity to talk to a girl who is obviously interested (she returns the smile), because you feel the need to come up with a clever or funny line. Newsflash, you don't need a clever line to start a conversation. If you can't come up with anything, then a simple "Hi" will do. Just say SOMETHING! ANYTHING! It doesn't have to be smart just WORDS!

Finally, you don't "ween yourself off" being shy. You will always be shy, it's human nature to be shy. People just have a problem with interpretating a feeling of shy. The feeling of being shy is hard-coded into our minds to act as a sort of alarm when you recognise a potential mate (I talk like this). But for some evolutionary reason this "alarm" also somehow triggers nervousness, which you must overcome. You will always be shy when approaching a girl, you just have to learn to control it. My heart pounds and I go through all that every time I approach a girl but I still leave with a number because I literally tell this shyness to just shut up.

alright i see what u mean and when i said girl id never approach i dont mean like outta my league i mean like in a car driving by or not very attractive , but yeah im going to deffinatly try a few new things next time i go out its just a shame i have to wait till next weekend i cant do anything at my school because its filled with people i hate (no girls im interested in )(at all)
