What a waste!

A year or so ago a friend directed me to this site. I had been in an all-boys' school most of my life so i thought it was a good idea to learn a little. This coming school year i am finally moving on to a coed boarding school so i had never really had bad experiences so i hadn't been too into the material and over the summer i have learned one thing:
i already have everything it takes!

After that i realized how pathetic this is. Not the board, but what was happening on it. Kids with no clue are coming here and posting dating advice and making REPUTATIONS out of it. I've never seen anything more pathetic than a kid who actually needs help with this kind of thing coming to a site like this and replacing his social life or whatever's left of it with giving out bad advice to other kids who unfortunately listen to that crap and then praise the "dj guru" for his "wisdom". I would actually encourage people to go out and see who they really are in the real world with real people rather than sitting at your computer each night, (when you could be out living your life) glued to the screen, letting life pass you by and the computer suck the life right out of you.

First of all, yes, it may be a little sad that guys have to come to this site for advice, but that's life. Life is full of problems that we wish we didn't have, but we have them so we have to fix them and the fact that we are trying to fix them is not sad.

Second, just because YOU have everything it takes, that doesn't mean everyone else does.

Third, everyone here is here to improve themselves and their relationships with women. That does not mean that everyone has the same problem. One guy may have the solution to another's problem because that is not the same area his problem is in. The advice given out is not people guessing at other people's problems. They KNOW that their advice works. The recipient praises the advisor because the advice WORKED.

Fourth, this site does not make you someone you are not. It improves you. And we do not sit in front of the computer all the time. We get our advice and go out and try it in the real world.

The advice given here works. I've used it and SEEN it work. You don't call a starving person pathetic for wanting food just because you're not hungry, do you? If anyone is pathetic it is YOU for thinking you are bigger than everyone, running your mouth, and trying to put us down. If you don't like our methods, keep your mouth shut, and move on.

Epic, i understand all that and that people come here for help and there is nothing wrong with that. I am saying that it's a horrible thing to come here needing help and then make it your life, because then this site is only hurting you. Don't you think that it's bad that people who have been here for a year, 365 days, have over 6 or 7 hundred posts? I think it's a good idea to come here for advice but i also think many many people on this board are using it as an excuse to replace their social lives with it. How ironic is that?

Next time read the post more carefully, half the things u flamed weren't in my post

Everything I said referred to something that was in your post, but that doesn't matter now. I understand what you are saying more clearly now, but I still somewhat disagree. I apologize if I said anything that offended you with my first post, it's just that the way you said it made it seem like you were targeting all of us.

mmm, I have to admit when I read your post it did seem like that, cutting everyone down just because they'd admitted they need help. I see what your saying now though, and I agree. I'm sure there are people here that are glued to the screen, posting to try and get respect from, as someone else put it, "people they'll never meet".

Still, they're not my problem, it's their lives their wasteing!

So because i have over 1 thousand post im a loser and have no social life?? Funny how you dont even know ALL of the kids yet youre making assumptions about their lives. You dont know me, never have and most likely never will, so dont act like cause ive been here for a while and have a lot of post that i dont get out and do anything. Thats just blatant ignorance if you truly believe that bullshyt. And like someone else said, just cause you can do shyt doesnt mean everyone else natually can.

thats not what i am saying. I am not saying that you suck if u have over 1000 posts. all i'm saying is that if you have been on this site for two months and have over 500 posts, maybe you should make sure you aren't wasting your life on a website that you aren't learning anything from. I'm not trying to put people who come to sites like this for help down. Everyone has something they are not good at and there is nothing wrong with asking for help for that.
