You're sick.

It really is a tragedy. I can't understand why all these people didn't evacuate when they had the chance...:(

Yeah, real funny. I wonder how you'd feel if it was your mom stuck in a nursing home, abandoned for days and due to the negligence of others finally drowning nearly a week after emergency workers should have gotten to her. Hilarious, you sick f*ck.

Are you soulless? Really.

But on the topic of discussion, those unfortunate people have been abandoned by their own country.

The thing is, it would've happened no matter who was in office.

The truth is, the less money you have, the less people give a crap about what happens to you, because you have nothing to offer. That is why I am an advocate of making money. The more you have, the more of a cushion you have to fall on in tough times - the more important you are.

Nobody is altruistic. There is no true sacrifice.

That is a terrible mindset, but its the way it is. You can bet that if something like that happened in Hollywood or the beachfront properties of Florida, aid would've been there even before the storm hit. There wouldn't have been this much human devastation.

The world just makes me sick.

i feel sorry for the people in america that had to go threw that.... And I feel with all the families that has lost theyr homes and loved ones....

but i must say they had it coming, all the events , they were told a week before the hurricane that it was coming and was going to be one of the worst in am4ereican times, and was prolly caused by the american people cuz of all the pullution they do.... I know its horrible to say it like this, but it is the truth...

Bush isent a racist , he just dont care for other people who dont benefit him in any way, he just went there to get some photos taken for publisity and then left...
AND HAVING BUSH STILL AS THE PRES IS WRONG....

but as Luveno said people with money dont care about people without it, for most of these people they dont exist, like som people do with bums sleeping in the gutters, we know they are out there but we tend to make ourself forget that they are there....
Like the **** thats happenin in kongo right now, we all know that people are getting raped kiand killed over there , everyone knows it , but we dont want to think about it, we make ourself forget it....
humans are selfish creatures but there are a handful of humans that arent, they spend theyr lives trying to help people like this....they go to underdeveloped countries and try to help as much as they can... wich in my oppinion are the true heroes of this world...

i just keep thinking what if america and the other countries had sent theyr soldier to fight for those poor people in kongo insted of this hole madeup bull**** reason that they are in iraq right now dying.... how many lives could we have saved, but it wouldnt benefit anyone , so we wont do it....

as said before this wolrd makes me sick some days.....

If we sent soldiers to fight for every country with injustice and corruption, all of our soldiers would be elsewhere, and we'd be drafted to go to war with China, Congo, North Korea, Vietnam, and however many other countries I'm missing. And obviously, you'd still blame Bush.

Look man, I don't like the guy either, but talking out of you ass makes you look silly and uninformed.

And then we wonder why Republicans continue to wipe the floor with us.

Why didn't the Mayor of New Orleans implement the evacuation plan created last year after Hurricane Ivan?

The one that utilizes the hundreds of New Orleans School Buses to take those sick, elderly and poor to the Superdome, where there was supposed to have been food, water and medicine.

Again, why didn't the Mayor of NO implement that plan?

Why did the Mayor of NO wait until less than 24 hours before teh Hurricane hit to call for an evacuation, when neighboring states called for evacuations 72 hours before the hurricane hit?

Instead, the ignorant blame Bush for not fixing the f*** ups that occured on the local and state levels.

1) Why Didn't Louisiana Follow it's Emergency Plan?
1a) Why isn't the Media asking this question either?

2) Why hasn't anyone mentioned that a Pre-Requisite for a Federal Response BY LAW is that State Law is Executed and the Emergency Plan is Executed first?

3) Why did the Governor abandon the City of New Orleans for the Safety of Baton Rouge, before the Plan was Executed?

4) Why, when the federal Government was acting in accordance with the Stafford Act, did the State of Louisiana, by its Governors acts, delay making requests when being told this storm was going to hit?

5) Why did Mayor Nagin or Governor Blanco, delay while sleeping on it Saturday night, the Mandatory evacuation spelled out in the Louisiana Emergency Plan? Saturday the Mayor said he may order an evacuation tomorrow. (Sunday)

6) Where were the Parish Presidents who were signatories to the Louisiana Emergency Plan, and why did they fail in its Execution to the plan?

7) In the Parish failure to implement, why didn't the State take over as required by the plan?

8) Why weren't the Hospitals nursing homes, etc. evacuated since the plan required them to do so?

9) Why did the Mandatory evacuation only occur AFTER President Bush called, and why did Governor Blanco stress that it was only after President Bush called urging the Evacuation order? Was she concerned for the Citizens, or was she grandstanding so she could blame the President if the Storm didn't hit?

10) Why were the Action Plan implementations required not done by the Local and State Government?

First, if you're going to cut and paste material that someone else thought of and present it as your own original work, be sure to supply the link to where you got your list of questions from:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1477374/posts

I'll only answer the one I know - the rest I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot about in the coming days (for some reason it's always easier to say "why this why that" after something bad has happened...)
3) Why did the Governor abandon the City of New Orleans for the Safety of Baton Rouge, before the Plan was Executed?
Baton Rouge is the capitol city of Louisiana. The governor's mansion is right past downtown BR. Plus, how effectively do you think someone could attempt to facilitate an emergency response if they were stranded in the thick of it? Same reason why the generals sit on the sidelines while the soldiers mix it up with the enemy.

Obviously a lot was done wrong by a lot of different people; just like with previous disasters in the US everyone will come together for a while then split apart playing the blame game.

By the way, since you're so critical of what others are doing wrong, may I ask what you've done to assist anyone impacted by Katrina?

The Superdome is pretty much empty now... and here in Baton Rouge the sky is filled with helicopters - Blackhawks, Chinooks, and everything in between. I can only imagine how many must be in New Orleans.

Actually, I was emailed those 10 questions by a friend, and thus that's why I didn't source them.

I've also donated $50.00 to the Red Cross, and will do so every 2 weeks (payday) for the next few months.

Regardless, the lack of planning and action on the local level, especially in NOLA, contributed greatly to the current problems.

Blaming FEMA and/or Bush for the lack of planning and execution by the local and state Governments is not only wrong, but ignorant.

You are absolutely correct sir, though, it is not really wrong to say that FEMA and/or Bush failed horribly.

I think any reasonable person could say that in this case, every inch of government (from local, to state, and federal) failed in dealing with this natural disaster on a number of levels.

From what I understand, the people who haven't had food/water for days are the ones who are still holed up in their apartments around town - ones who won't leave for whatever reason (and apparently there are some). Obviously there are still some out there who don't have it, but it's not just a simple matter of dropping the food and water off at the Superdome - people can actually get back into New Orleans (it's physically possible, the interstate signs say "For West Bank re-entry use I-10, detour XXXX", etc)...

Hell, earlier today two dozen people actually participated in the annual Labor Day "Decadance" homosexual parade, walking around the French Quarter throwing beads and stuff... It was on CNN. People do crazy things.

is infowars full of $hit ?
They're obviously biased, but while the information they portray is rather one-sided, it's no less factual for that.

Ah, my bad.
I've also donated $50.00 to the Red Cross, and will do so every 2 weeks (payday) for the next few months.
You might want to read through that link I listed... they have several choice things to say about the Red Cross and how they've historically allocated (or mis-allocated) money that has been given to them for disaster relief (even this one)... none of it is flattering.

Blaming FEMA ... for the lack of planning and execution by the local and state Governments is not only wrong, but ignorant.
Yes, blaming FEMA for the lack of planning and execution is wrong, but FEMA isn't exactly bright and cheery either. I'm not sure if you knew it, but FEMA turned back 18-wheelers loaded with water that Wal-Mart sent to help, as well as telling emergency workers they couldn't have any of the thousands of gallons fuel an oil company donated especially to those very people... and don't forget FEMA actually cutting the parish emergency communications line (which is now protected by armed deputies)...
