There is nothing more fun then the risk of getting caught and being fired on the spot, lol

Use a smartphone, with stored videos, and watch them next to my keyboard between calls in a call center sometimes.

I'm sure nobody has done this at work.

When I do this, I always check to make sure the coast is clear, the president of the company is not walking around, or executives from the bank, or even the manager.

The reprecussions are big if caught:
1) Could get fired on the spot, if someone in charge views this.
2) If a co-worker sees that, then that would make a sick impression of myself

The benefits of watching something like that:
1) If feeling upset of pissy, it instantly destresses you because they are candy videos/pics you are viewing silently.

Things like that make an otherwise boring and/or sad day a bit more interesting. Like I just made it high-stakes and get the adrealine running.

Again, it's not really porn, but stuff like a sexy women/cosplay women doing squats or twerking, things like that.

There is this one time today that I was thinking of taking the smartphone out, but then the manager popped out to talk to someone in the cubicle next to me. It's like you can never be too careful with this thing.

But tomorrow I don't plan to play this. I think I'll play a study-ASMR video of a lady staring at a book or computer or something. Watching something more boring is always less riskier.

Then they'll write in local news paper. "Wirdo arrested at the local bank, jaking to porn, he lived with his parents."
Way to get sexual offender stamp on your record.

They can catch you by cameras, and those could be that you don't see. Really tiny, inside a cable telephone could be a hole, and you'd never know it is a camera.
They can catch you by wifi usage history. If you connected to wifi.

Frankly, chances are they already know something is up with you, but not making a move yet, because no evidence. There don't have to be evidence, because if you are on the radar, that means your days a numbered anyway.

You did not read the first post properly then. Where did I say this was a local bank, or that I was jacking to porn?
First this is a call center, what I looked at was on youtube, and it is not stimulating enough to jack off on, it's more like eye-candy than jack-off material. What I looked at today was a video of a lady studying. A few glances at that since the area did not lend itself to it. Again, you can't even get hard on that. Also, I have never actually "jacked-off" at work.

No, that's not connected to wifi. We have to bring out own data since the offer is too stingy to share theirs.

The cameras are irrelevant since if something serious happens in there (ie lets say someone gropes a lady in the office, and it's she said he said, then the cameras might have the footage to check it out after the fact). There is no Orwellian oversight into what people are doing. Anyone who is caught violating the office policy is usually caught accidentally by a manager or someone who has power passing by and catching something. Or, if you volunteer that you are doing it, and dare them to do something about it.

That being said, actually watching porn and jacking off was not something that I have done inside that office so again, if push comes to shove and I'm caught, there is nothing too deep about it, especially if it is a video about a lady studying, in which case, that is not even sexual. If it's one of lewd videos then again, you are watching someone exercise, which I don't think is enough to warrant the level of concern. If I started showing the lewd video to other co-workers, especially women also working there, then that would be a problem.

As a Call Center work, you can't argue and hang-up the phone on people. It seems being too upset over the phone or having a bad day and taking it out on people you are calling seems to be a worst risk to the job than a smartphone under a keyboard.

Oh yes, I neglected to mention, the issue of a bad call where there was a heated exchange with a customer and myself over the phone, was based on a coaching session that I had initiated, and I brought up the call. Not a call that was pulled up randomly that had that on it. I had way worst calls than that very often that they never found out about (ie which was why I was so emboldened and felt there was nothing to it).

Again, the trouble you find yourself at work, is the trouble you tell on yourself, brag about to other co-workers, or just mouth-off to the wrong person. People too busy to bother looking for a needle in a haystack in corporate world. If you are quiet and mind your own business, then usually you come up ahead.

Having a smartphone where I'm looking at a personalized youtube video is not something to talk to anyone about. You already know it's too personal/wierd, even if it's not something outrightly offensive or obscene enough to trigger the law.

This is not softcore. Like I said, different types of videos. You are just admiring her intellectual beauty here.

What you're doing under the keyboard sounds far more horrifying than anything that happened Under The Dome

Just my perspective from the opposing side of this. If I see anyone in my teams display this behavior on the job, I consider them dead weight and on their way out.

I'm sure nobody has done this at work.

Too many young guys do this. I never let them know that I know. Walking around is not the only way we find out. I’m not your parent, stick to your purpose. You agreed to do the job.

It’s really not even the “inspiring videos” that I take issue with, unless you’re completely underperforming. It’s the lack of focus and wasting an opportunity for personal growth. Time to grow up. This type of job is not supposed to be forever. Make the most out of it and go on to bigger things.

The benefits of watching something like that:
1) If feeling upset of pissy, it instantly destresses you because they are candy videos/pics you are viewing silently.

Taking proper breaks is more effective when it comes to destressing.

If you’re bored on the job, you are lacking creativity. Even the worst job can be made into an interesting experience if you’re open to a more creative approach. You can make it feel “high-stakes” without resorting to laziness.

Outbound.
My condolences. Telemarketing is widely despised. I've had a few of those jobs a long time ago. They used to pay 4-5x minimum wage, because the turnover is so high.

It sounds like you subconsciously want to get fired, because it will force you to find a better job. You could just skip to the end of that process and go get a better job where you don't want to screw around at work.

I've been known to view NSFW material on break.

Never would I do anything like that in the office space.
