I want all of you to watch the show Blind Date the next time you see it on T.V. Before you all flame me for being gay for watching Blind Date let me explain.

People go on Blind Date for the reason of hoping to meet the person of their dreams yadda yadda, or maybe just sex who knows. The point is alot of guys on this show are CLUELESS when it comes to women. So why do I suggest you watch this show? Watch it and look for all the goofy thought bubbles they edit into the show because they point out the obviously painful mistakes these guys make if you are too naive to pick up on it. Watch a few episodes and you will actually start to get a feel for how the situations could have played out much better, and finally and most importantly listen to the girls comments at the end of the show, they will almost always mention their first impression of the guy and more often pick weaknesses then strengths of the guy they have just dated.

So watch Blind Date not to see what TO DO with women, but au contraire what NOT TO DO, they big DO NOTS. When you get better at picking up women etc you will learn how some guys on the show infact come out on top the simple things they do. Such as in one episode there was a guy who was extremely nice, typical nice guy and the girl was definatly iffy about him. That was until they hit the dance floor and this guy had moves man oh man, and not once all night did he not have a friendly smile on his face. At the end of the episode the woman said she would date him again in an instant.

I've tried watching a few of those shows, but I always get mad and start yelling at the t.v. I usually have no choice but to turn the channel...:nono:

So, no.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I didn't think it would make you guys get pissed off, it's just laughable what the guys on the show do in an attempt to be likeable. AFC's, the stereotypical "nice guy's" and "bad boy's" are the norm. Once in a blue moon there's a guy on there who gets it.

All in all I think it's a amusing show; amusing kinda like this forum. :D

Yo Mission and Francisco,

I couldn't agree more. Blind Date is one of my favorite shows. I often watch it daily during my morning workouts (I record it the nite before). That show is DEFINATELY a learning experience. It's like an entertaining look at male/female interaction.

I too, HIGHLY recommend that if anyone has a BORING moment, and wants to learn some things about how people act on dates----BLIND DATE is worth your time, and you'll sure get a good laugh in the process. lol

Hey, I also recommend old reruns of a show from the early 2000's called SHIPMATES, as well. It chronicles everything that happens to blind dates who meet for a 3-day cruise. This show offers the same kind of running commentary during the date, and it's always funny and insightful too.

You can usually catch both of these show latenight on SPIKE TV, if you can get that channel where you are.

Peace out.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

If you need to watch a show to look for goofy guys fvcking up a date its equivelent of watching a car accident in slow motion. You won't learn anything new but the things you already know (from this site). You need to look at success more then faliure.

Just look at this AFC who fails:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WzZb6FXNv0&search=blind date

What have I learned: A guy with no ambitions, confidence, social skills, maturity or prospects won't do very well. Pretty clear cut.

As oppose to a non AFC guy who succeed:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFzGU_OjpmQ&search=blind date

What Have I learned: A fairly confident good looking guy will not turn off a woman talking about sex on the first date as oppose to other guys who are severely lacking in the looks department and confidence level, who will turn off a woman on the first date when talking about sex. This rule however is not written in stone and can and should be modified based on the situation present and the type of woman you date.

OR we could go out and learn what "not to do" or what "to do" in the field, instead of learning from a stage show.

It's like trying to learn to play sports simply by watching. Surely you should have a go?

It's a show. It's staged. It's not real.

Jesus....

Some of you guys don't realize how often things click into high gear after learning all of this and then watching someone making many of the basic AFC mistakes. There's something about critiquing the dates which solidifies what you've learned AND makes you think about what you would do if you were in their situation.

And Victory, I remember Shipmates. It was a good show to see what happens after the first date. To see if the interest levels carried over from the first date and to find out whether or not the couple could take things to the next level. It was a pretty decent show.

Now for guys who want to watch how groups of people interact in a competition Elemidate is the show to watch. To see these guys start off thinking that they are really cool and then to see them slip into AFC mode out of desperation and the pressure of the competition is priceless. Oh yeah, there's a thread in the forum with a video of a member of Sosuave as a contestant of Elemidate that's pretty good.

Oh and if any of you are wondering why I know so much about these dating shows, last year I wrote a sociology paper about the value of self awareness for dating via a study of dating television shows in the media. Let's just say that without a good understanding of who you are, you're able to do some pretty disturbing things out of desperation.

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.

Don't get me wrong, I see the humor in it... it's just that I want to b!tch slap those guys but can't do anything about it... I just sit there in utter disbelief of what I am seeing sometimes.

But I actually don't watch very much television, and almost never keep up with any of the shows on t.v.

Hey I just want to ask, on those Blind Date shows, is the food free? Like say you eat at a restaurant, can you bill the food to the television studio?

Yo Troops,

Think of it this way:

If signing up on Sosuave, sarging, and reading the DJ Bible is like taking a college class, then watching shows like Blind Date, Shipmates, and Elimidate is like taking extra credit. No more. No less.

And Francisco, yes I've watched Elimidate too, but not very often. What I find most useful about that show is how it demonstrates how DECLARING HIGH VALUE works in dating scenarios. Those guys only have a small window of opportunity to make a great first impression.

And for examples of AMOGing? Well Elimidate should be required viewing for people who want to see this strategy in action.lol

Watch on.
