Was it right for me to only give her my phone number?

Next time you see her, talk like you normally do, then bring up the fact that she hasn't called you. This can come off as desparate if you are in fact desparate, but if you have other options it will show that you can calmly handle an awkward situation and that you are confident and straight forward.

Suggest that she give her number to you so that you can call her. If she gives you a big deal about it, forget it and move on.

Also, just because she doesn't call doesn't mean she's not interested at all. Some women will call first, some won't, but it has more to do with the women than her interest level.
