i don't recall for sure but i think black stools represents a high concentration of a particular mineral. i think it may have been too much iron. if you multivitamin has iron in it you may be getting excess iron if you are also eating lots of meat for your protein. meat is loaded with iron to begin with. try an online websearch about BLACK STOOLS or causes of black stools or perhaps go to www.askjeeves.com and ask What is causing me to have black stools?
