Hi Folks,

I really hate to start new threads everytime, but you have to admit the search function is actually kind of borked.

So:
I'd love to enhance my voice, perhaps make it a little more smooth and powerful... have it reflect my inner confidence in any approach.

Do you know any free resources about training your voice - articles on the net, perhaps even threads in this Forum? Much appreciated!

practice speaking at a consistent volume level where you like the sound of your voice. you'll fall into the habit of using that volume level more frequently

You know how you hear yourself, and then you hear yourself in a recording and you're like "Wow I sound so different!" When you hear yourself in your head, make sure it sounds like you're screaming. If you're loud you'll project power.

When you're speaking, make sure the power comes from your chest. You can check this by putting your hand over your chest and checking for a vibration.

Bring every word you speak, up from deep in your gut. People with alot of self-confidence, always speak this way. I learned about this from sales training. Practice using a voice recorder. I went from sounding like a nasal teenager, to news broadcaster- this way. Also, take a deep breath before speaking. Go to the gym, too. Working-out creates more testosterone....which automatically deepens the sound of your voice.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

I'm Italian, so we use our hands (I'm sure you've heard the jokes.)

But, along with using the hands, make sure your voice projects confidence. Alot.
