ever since I was a little kid, I have loved videogames.

my favorite type is an rpg.

cliff notes: in an rpg, you basically level up a character to make it stronger, gain new skills, etc.

well... as any of you rpg gamers know, characters usually hit a level cap.

at that point, I just start a new character. whY? because the fun is in building the character, not having a fully loaded awesome character.

the same with women. I feel myself having more fun building relationships than maintaining the excellent one I have...

damnit!

*rubbing my eyes* Uhhh... what?

If the fun of rpgs for you is building up the character, shouldn't you have more fun developing yourself into someone with the capability of maintaining an already 'excellent relationship'?

And if you get so uninterested in maintaining an already excellent relationship, why not make a game out of forming other more 'fun' relationships without scrapping a satisfying one? I think that should be an interesting enough endeavor that you don't get so bored.

P.S. If you play enough videogames that you are actually beginning to use them as parallels to your love life (or to blame your love-life on them), I'd recommend cutting back on them--if not abandoning them entirely. Every friend I've ever had who has been heavy into video games has either:

A) Never been laid.
or
B) Never laid anything higher than an HB2.

Just my two cents.
