As I've said before, the real danger of video games is that they give you a "virtual" (false) sense of accomplishment, which satisfies your need to go out and accomplish in real life.

Kind of like junk food spoils your appetite for healthy meals.

I can recall having major moodswings because of Online Multiplayer, especially on MW2, WAW and GOW2. Everyone in my dorm said they could hear me from outside the dorm. I was seriously dedicated to getting achievements, beating people over in Online MP and being the best. Somebody made a thread about this a while ago and mentioned a cause, that it makes you feel a false sense of achievement as if it were real life. I had to cut down on the gaming, I'm happy my Xbox has actually got the Red Ring of Death, although I do miss competing. I miss the spawn killing, the bombing on enemy locations, unleashing the DOGS!, firing bazookas, curb stomping locusts, having last round duels with just you and one other on the opposite team, I miss having the result of the team for the win in your hands and I miss the bashing, I miss being called a Wigger, Cr*cker, N*gger, Spic, Paki, Yank, Brit-F*g, UK Vs. US and others, the general trash talking with 10-year-olds. Real-time intensity.

the same thing can be said for reading a good book, jerking one out, alot of things

balance guys. nothing wrong with a video game as long as it's done in moderation.

I still play metal gear solid, resident evil, mass effect, ncaa 11, gears of war, call of duty.. man there are some freaking bad ass games out there, you are missing out lol.

the difference is, when i was 18, i would have beaten metal gear solid 4 in a week.

i bought the game, last june, i think i'm about 3/4th done with it.

i can't go to sleep, son doesn't want to go to sleep, girl is sleep, i'm in the living room cant' do antyhing, yeah i'm going to cut on the ps3 and not feel a damn bit bad about it.

or it's a saturday morning and i got back from the gym, and it's 8am, and Arkansas doesn't play utnil 9am (out here west coast).. i'd rather play a game of NCAA 11 than to watch an hour of college gameday

my fiancee LOVES mario. I think she's addicted lol. there are times instead of sitting back and watching TV we will cut on the gamecube and i will talk **** to her while she's getting killed in mario sunshine. my whole purpose at that point is to make her life as miserable as possible lol
