Versace Suit Bag: Got approached by 2 at the mall

ok this is funny.

I went over to buy a suit today.
I bought a versace suit. its perfect.
so i walked out with the versace suit in a suit bag.

i had to stay back at the mall because the pants needed to be tightened up.
Anyway the alteration lady said come back in an hour.

so i was walking around the mall with the versace bag.

i walked into a shop and the HB9 behind the counter looks at me, double takes at the Versace label im holding.
smiles, comes over "Hi, how are you today?"
me" im good and you?"
she:"im good, im bored at work,and i dont know what im doing tonight..its saturday!"
me: thinkin, WTF ive never heard that from a stranger straight away.
she:"been big shopping today?"
me:"yeh, im refurbishing my suit collection.."
she:"Wow, nice...whats the plans tonight?"
me:"i got a couple parties to go to<<LIES>> but not sure which ones the fly'r one to hit up...you?"
she:"no plans..but i dont wanna sit at home...where are your parties at?"
me:<<DAMN! this chic is straight up..>>"how about you take my number and hit me up tonyt.."
she:"k, ill text you now so you'll have my number, name's C*****,Whats yours?"
me:"cool C, mines Slick, numbers ####, i might see you tonight"
she"you sure will...see ya Slick" and she hit me up straight away.

then i walked out the shop, went to the juice stand.
HB8.5 infront of me turns around, looks at me, smiles, looks at the label, smiles again...turns back
2 seconds later turns back and says HI.
lol.talked..and got her number too.

neither of this was any work done by me, i didnt even try to impress these two girls with my intellect, the versace seems to have done it for me. lol

i have to say though and this may sound ****y, but...

every second of 3rd person at the mall, guys, older women included..
looked at me, and looked at the ball with the 4 or 5 second stare.

the younger girls smiled. i had atleast 30 or 40 young girls walking past smile at me after looking at the label..
i wanted to test it out more, so i purposely put the label facing outwards..

it is SO sad!!

There are a lot of guys with bunches of money that either are cheap as fvck or have the worst taste ever. They have a ton of zero's behind their name, and everything material they have is either cheap or chincy... In line with this, they probably have a similar taste in food, music, the arts, etc. = BORING, UNATTRACTIVE, TURN OFF!!! I just met one in a business meeting. He probably has a lot of money, but the look was wayyyyyy off. He was right on for the 70's.

So I think part of it could be that they are turned on by the cue that if a guy is buying a Versace suit/clothes, he probably has distinctive taste, will spend to enjoy finer things, and is sophisticated in many non-material aspects of his life? Most people are not too naive to be aware of the 'millionare next door' concept. But is that what really turns a chick on? And expensive does not necessarily mean exciting and alluring... You could drop as much or a helluva lot more on a very conservative suit, people would know the designer is expensive and likely would not get the reaction you got.

Take the average guy sporting a real Rolex or other fine watch. Odds are he may not have the house in the hills, financial accounts, or even a ride to match, but at least he put himself in the position to get the watch. So it shows that there may have been some effort to acquire it and you probably have some of the qualities mentioned above.

I am sorry, but you are mistaken. Hard-workers who prefer to invest instead showing off their money tend to be more interesting people and actually more sophisticated in non-material aspects. Well, I think it is a gross generalization to say that if you have killer gear or style, you are not interesting or sophisticated... Sorry, but some people do have it all (not saying I am one of them by any means).

And who do you think all those wives and girlfriends of wealth are cheating on? That hot guy that blows them away with passion and all that who probably has enough for a decent whip, some nice threads, and not much else... to escape from their boring ass Warren Buffet, millionaire next door husband/boyfriend that enjoys reading the Wall Street Journal and watching Meet The Press and bores them to tears and would never ever make them feel anything.

At least the guy with the nice watch blew on something cool that will actually hold most of it's value or appreciate (for the finer watches) instead of some bank shares going to $0.00. Is this the part where I get to hear about someone going to a party where 80% of the girls where 8++?

the thing is, in todays world, the big labels and brands are much more familiar and closer to the normal guy. because you see it in the media so much more.

It is now almost a requirement if you want people to be WOW'd by you or women to approach you that you go out with some fine threads, because we have to admit, women are also dropping alot of money on labelled threads. you see more females with Fendi now. its become a house hold name.
i guess that makes it alot more appealing and reachable for people.

i dunno.
i was taken back by the amount of attention that people were giving me with that label facing outwards..but i could spot the golddiggers from the ones that looked at me with a tint of green

Distinctive material possessions are funny in that there are definitely the main stream familiar brands. There was a recent news story where they went around Manhattan with some serious watches. These were high 5 figure and 6 figure time pieces. They went up and asked people on the street what they thought. How much is this worth? What do you think? People were so fvcking off. They were throwing out $150 and $350. Now if they did the same with a Rolex or Omega, people would be much more accurate in their assessments. There are thousands of high-end ready to wear designers, but Italian ones are very well known. Versace is a designer to a lot of recording artists and celebrities, yet probably some wealthy elite would not be caught dead wearing it. There is a halo effect sometimes to certain stuff.

I do agree with TravisBickle's perspective in that give a guy some smart shoes, denim, and a white t-shirt and let his game do the talking...

i wear alot of Canali suits. and it is said Canali is the Rolls Royce or the Maybach of suits if the Versace was a Ferrari.
And NOONE! recognizes the name. People that know these names are the high end real quality over brand name kind of people.

I have walked around in a Canali suit before and noone speaks on it, but you wear a Versace and immediately people go WOW!
i walked into work today in the new Versace suit and ive had 4 of the office young girls come up to me and touch the suit and visibly have an orgasm.lol.

but yes if you put a tag infront of people, theyll go wow! but if you a brietling they wouldnt know what it was.
