Today at work, the people around me were talking about relationships and some of the women said something about men being idiots and only following their d1cks. I replied its better than being materialistic like women. I told the story of how a few years ago I won a thousand dollar shopping trip at Macy's. The girl I was in a relationship with at the time asked if she could have half. I told her no, she'll get something to spend but definitely not half. She ended up getting a little under 200 and still *****ed that she only got that much. I told the ladies at work that in retrospect she shouldn't even have gave her any money, and thats when those ladies blew up. Suddenly I'm a selfish jerk who's destined to be alone forever if I keep acting like this bleah, bleah, bleah...

The whole time I just sat their laughing at their hypocricy and double standards.

It made me feel good and realize I'm really not an AFC anymore. Anyone else have stories of when they realized they weren't AFCs anymore?

It will happen almost daily from females you don't consider attractive. Don't let it get you down at all and don't let them disrespect you. Eventually you will get used to crushing their self esteem with a few choice words just to get them to shut up. Just be careful you don't say anything at all which could be construed as sexual harassment or you could get fired.

No, it didn't get me down at all. I found it amusing and made me feel good that I could see through the bullsh1t and it made me chuckle at the thought that they were trying to help me with all the wrong advice.

No worries about the sexual harrasment thing though, they're both 40 and married. Although one of them is a GILF. They're more the motherly type.

Hah, this reminds me of how groups of women will dogpile on me for saying I don't feel the need to pay for everything on dates.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

$200 dollars, when she did not win any of it. I think maybe $50 would have been good.

Stand up for yourself though man. I think your female coworkers were upset that they saw you as not supplicating to your GF. As a result they tried to bring you down.

If that was my girl demanding half, she would get a nice fat zero.

Giving her $200 after what she pulled on you, you deserved her being a b*tch to you.

Yep. Like I said, those were back in my AFC days. That mistake will never happen again. And thats why the ladies got all in a tizzie because I'm "selfish". lol

Don't always be the one putting yourself out for her. Don't always be the one putting all the effort and work into the relationship. Let her, and expect her, to treat you as well as you treat her, and to improve the quality of your life.

Lol play it close to the chest in the first place so the money's all yours.
You can be generous and strong at the same time. Giving away money is a personal choice, not really good or bad. What the OP did was reward her bratty behavior with $200. So its no surprise she acted up again.

If you get called a Jerk, that means you're finally doing it right.

I didnt explain that very well....the point i am trying to make is that a woman will/may call you a jerk but will stay with you. As soon as you start showing traits of an AFC they will be outa there! Trust me! I think a lot of people on here will agree with me!

What is more selfish? Wanting to spend your money or wanting to spend womeone elses money?
Wanting to spend someone else's money, as then there's no onus on you.

as for the money, yeah, as an AFC I would have halved it, no questions, now I'd say probably $250 (though I'd make sure she was behaving - tell her to stop whining [subtly of course] and tell her to get you something you want whilst she's at it)

I wouldn't have told her about it in the first place. If she was my wife, yes, but fvcka telling my gf about money, IT'S ALL MINE!!!

Exactly what I would do. I'd buy her some nice clothes for her to wear for me... then the rest was mine. I'm not just saying that to sound like a wannabe DJ either.

I'd probably be excited as hell... I wouldn't really know if I'd be able to contain my excitement though and not tell her.

Either way, the money spent would have been a win-win... dress sexy for me, and have her happy that I thought of her, although it was only a "paycheck" from work.

Yeah, I wouldn't have told her, but at that point we had been together a year and were living together (another mistake). So it would have been hard to justify 1,000 dollars worth of new clothing in the closet. Especially since I only made a grand a month then.

I was attacked today for saying " Quality women are easy for me to find and date, women are just a branch i my tree of life". I was called an a$$hole by a female friend for not believing in soulmates, and that love is out of my control.
