Ok I will admit I'm not one to really shop for clothes much like dressy type of stuff but I want to try my hand at it but I'm not too sure where to start and like what's in..

So i'm kinda wondering where should I start first?

Tell us your age and what circles you hang out to get women.

For me, since I was 30, I switched to white shirts, black pants or jeans and polo shirts. It worked very well because I am tall and big, but no muscles.
2 years ago I added blazers/coats to that and I am getting more attention from 30+ women.

But depends on you and what you want to game.

Try out new things and see the results. Definately changing your look will make you feel good and will improve your confidence a little. Dressing up more than others for any occasion will send a message. Women dig slimmer guys, use this for your advantage.

Dark jeans.
Button up shirts, solids are more dressy.
And boots.
Good boots.
Like red wings. Ya they are 350$ but you will have them 10 years or more. They are timeless.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

Lace-ups are much better than slip-ons. I don't know if slip-ons even qualify as dress shoes.

But yeah, nice shoes and button-up shirts are a must. Match your belt to your shoes (black & black, brown & brown). An adult male should NEVER be seen wearing running shoes except for when he's jogging, or at the gym.

A good place to start is to have one good pair of black dress shoes, one pair of brown dress shoes and a pair of good boots. You'll wear (require) the brown dress shoes the most as they are the go-to shoes for many, many looks.

Dark jeans are good to have too. No rips or stone-wash effects.

Above all - make sure your clothes FIT. Chances are, they'll be tighter than you're used to but you'll grow accustomed to it quickly and look much better for it. 75% of the men I see wear clothes that are too big for them because they would rather be "comfortable" than look good.

I could go on but there are entire websites dedicated to this kind of thing. Check out "Real Men, Real Style" for starters.

You're on the right track, for sure. ZZ Top were bang-on when they wrote "Sharp Dressed Man". It's no cliché - it's the truth.

3 button henley's are great, pull up the sleeves, look even better if you are in decent shape.
